SO FC = Goverment ? Grand Company = God? Uldah = Universe? If you contribute to the Republican party, do they pass laws for you, return you favor contracts for your company, hire you in their own companies later? If they do any of that its corruption. So they likely can't flaunt them doing that. But people still contribute to the party. I wonder why. Maybe they fucking care.
So FC is not a community of ppl who wanna play together and enjoy a game? Now it is Communist/ Democracy? LOL. Pls use better examples. Thanks.
* Purchasing land or housing using gil obtained from RMT (real money trading) or other illicit means is strictily prohibited. Any land or estate hall deemed to have been purchased through such means is subject to seizure.
* "Cheating" consists of using third party programs or tools to conduct actions players would not normally be able to do in the game (for example, obtaining gil or items through illicit means, traversing at extremely high speeds, warping, using automated means to operate your character while you are away from the game).

If people can contribute to stuff without expecting anything tangible in return, then why can't they from something actually closer to them than some faceless political party or charity? I presume you actually play and have fun with your FC members. I presume you don't play and have fun with a random hospital charity.
how self-entitled can you get? you've enjoyed the community your FC offered you, contributing a little back is certainly not unreasonable, if you cannot trust those in your FC, I'd suggest you quit as you're merely treating FCs as a place for you to leech off others.

Please read more then just one pos. I am asking in the point of view of the underlings who now will have to fork out more gil to feed their fc housing which they have no say. For the fc leaders and their rl friends it is easy. It is hard for ppl who know u for 2 months. Most players are quite casual they are either hardly lvl 50 or hardly online or never online. If you have 300 fc members you may be lucky to have 100 online and maybe half of those or less give a damn about contributing so how you gonna find ppl to contribute. From the live letters we also know small and medium have a lot lesser benefits compare to large housing and we cant upgrade our land to large. Small Fc will lose out alot as many ppl don\\'t wanna leech the benefits by small FC go and join FC with large housing. All these last minute info drops like a bomb. And I believe sky high prices in non legacy servers due to rmt and gill buyers that are not caught yet.

HOW TO MAKE 1 MILLION GIL IN 2.1 A COMPLETE BEGINNER'S GUIDE
From Reinheart's google doc translation of 2.1 bonus mini-live letter:
"YoshiP is saying it was set this way so players don’t buy out all the lands right away and end up in situation where none is available. RMT estimated gil has been removed from their amount, they checked how much gil the FC’s have and got the estimates.
with battle alone you should be able to earn 15000-18000, little bit over 20000 gil with role bonus every day. If you farm 7 days that’s good amount X number of members.
It’s set so players can buy in 3 month time.
He says again he will look at situation and make adjustments.
The information posted on the patch notes it the highest amount and most likely not much people will buy, he wants people to use this as example to have players talk over how to gain the gil to purchase"
Dailies + duty roulette + treasure hunt = 20k gil per day per person
= 140k gil per person per week
= 6-7 weeks to reach 1M per person
1M per person * 200 members in FC = 200M raised = Big friggin' house in ~2 months

I'm starting to think this whole thing is a bit of a stunt to hide the fact that the Housing servers are a long way from being stable.
Yoshi-P stated a while ago that MEDIUM housing prices would be roughly 3x as much as all the gil a player gained from completing quests while lvling 1-50 (roughly 800k) The final prices range from 20~200x that amount!
Perhaps they hyper-inflated the prices to buy time to get the servers stabilized without delaying the 2.1 patch or admitting it wasn't ready yet?
It's plausible.
