Now, if they had said

yeah I have to agree, the operative word in the Dev post was "the"

if they said:

* Please note that A goobbue mount can only be obtained before the release of FINAL FANTASY XIV Version 2.0.

then there would be cause to claim that they promised A goobue mount would only be available to 1.0 players.
the fact that they look different, and lets not forget, all you had to do to get one of them was get lvl 30 on a class (any class by the way) and litteraly just talk to the minsteral. I could not possibly care less that a reskin is being added.

heck, I fully expect down the road to see a version of the legacy chocobo that lacks the markings and feather tips and a recolor of the armor. (and if they added that as a barding set, then I'd welcome the heck out of it as I'd love to use my Crested Storm Barding helmet with the rest of the Legacy set)
