Tanks Trolling Trials.

I have been grinding out ifrit and garuda weapons for my static and myself. During times when I have no tank or heals handy I Que up alone.

During these runs It is very common for a tank or set of tanks to show up and troll the group. Either refuse to move and respond or they prance around showing off their gear before dragging the boss on top of the group or failing to use any skills on the pull.

This is not from bad play as it is accompanied by the standard stream of trollish remarks.

I can not imagine I am the only one running into every single troll tank out there.So I assume this is some kind of trend,beyond the normal trend of being a jerk in games.


The boot kick function will be able to stop the ones who will not move or respond, but we need an easy way to deal with the others. The boot kick will not as I understand it be fully controlled by the players.

To initiate a vote, first select Party Members from the Social section of the main menu. Next, select the party member you wish to nominate for dismissal, then Vote Dismiss from the submenu. When vote dismiss is initiated, party members will be prompted for their response. If more than half vote Yes, the player in question will be dismissed from the party.

Im just waiting for people in dl to start vote kicking unsynced players because it will slow down their daily low level runs for tomes.

If you look at the patch notes, this window also features red text that reads something along the lines of, "Abusive use of this feature will be subject to punishment" or something like that.

He's not. Because I've had people like this too. Have two tanks come in that are friends and just completely harass the group.

I've never experienced this. I killed Ifrit 32 times (with a lot more fails), killed Garuda 5-6 times (never failed this one, for some reason) and beat Titan 4 times with MUCH more fails. The only trolling I ever experienced usually came from DPS who were leaving. They would run towards the boss, pull it to the rest of the group and leave so it attacks everyone else.

I don't imagine this never happens as they can keep doing it repeatedly because someone else is going to leave before them, but as it has never happened to me or anyone in my FC and this is the first time I've heard of it, I doubt it's that common. Not to mention kicking tanks from groups probably won't go well as finding another tank can be difficult in regular dungeons and unless they've made it so you can bring new players to trials it'll be impossible there.

this is indeed very annoying, attacking a primal then leaving to make the group die...

It would be simple to just not allow leaving while in combat. I think that is a very sensible and easy solution to a glaring problem. The same basic problem arises in fate when everyone runs off to a new one to gather double rewards in shorter time.



I think a game should never promote bad play and this one in fact often rewards it.

speaking of the red warning long story short had 3 people in praetorium via roullete harrass me i vote to kick the first guy for telling me to quote "kill my self" the chose to not kick him the 3 in question voted to kick me and i was kicked had to wait 40 min cause of a jerk group i opened a petition copy and pasted the chat log of them abusing the kick system > gm replied said he/she dealt with it accordingly i had them blacklisted now instead of their character names there is a (Deleted) in place of it >so im guessing perma ban of exploiting the kick system!!
