Dumb question about the Duty Roulette.

So, I am leveling my alt and I ran Low Level roulette 4 times.

The first three times I got the awesome Exp boost at the end (120k or so), together with the smalle bonuses for being "Adventurer in need" etc.

However, the fourth time I ran it, I did not get the awesome 120k or so exp.

Is this intended? Three times a day? Or maybe it's once a day per dungeon (the fourth time I got the same dungeon I got the first time)?

What level class were you playing as? I ran Sastasha as a level 19 MRD through Roulette last night and got 32k for the Roulette bonus, but I didn't try multiple times.

My guess would be is that your first three runs you had someone doing the zone for the first time, thus the extra bonus for completion. The last time was just a bunch of re-runners, so no bonus.

pbenner, that's odd - I thought Dungeons were put in line with FATEs to make them viable for leveling. Did I understand wrong?

The bonus depends on the difference between your current level and the level of the dungeon. As a 48 Paladin running TTD last night, I got 186k as rewards. I'm not sure how you got 3 times bonus though as if you do it in succession, the bonus resets around midnight in Japan (11AM EST). You can get 2 bonus if one you do before the reset and the second one after. I think you got confused the 3rd time. I'm pretty sure the roulette bonus is once a day per roulette resetting at midnight in Japan. Dungeons still give a lot of EXP. I got 3.5k EXP per mobs with rested bonus last night in DD.

I ran three times in succession, and got two levels and 3/4 (from 35 to 37, at around 70% until 38). The fourth time, tho, I only got exp from mobs, making FATEs more rewarding.

That is very odd indeed. However, I would not say FATE is more rewarding now. Have you tried since patch? The scaling is ridiculous. The killing multiple mobs FATE is scaled correctly and just have almost infinite mobs spawning if you have anywhere above 3 full parties at it. The single boss FATE and the item collection FATE do not scale at all leaving us 5 going at the eye boss in Northern Thanalan for almost 20 minutes for 20k EXP or 2 full parties at Gorgimera for almost 30 minutes and not even close to downing it or me collecting the 6 earth sprite cores usually enough for gold not even close to finishing the FATE. FATE is more of a PITA now. I'd rather do dungeons, really glad I did all the FATE I could before patch.

Ah, I see. No, I haven't tried the FATEs yet.

Fair point, will just have to solve the mystery of the Roulette now.
