Actually we don't.. There in is the irony, for me at least... Thanks to XIV, I refuse to play any game until it's been out for a month or so and the reviews (with some playtime behind them) start coming in.
So technically, the poor condition XIV launched in is why I haven't left XIV for another game... yet.
Trust me, I'm not the only one in this boat either.

You must have not played Age of Conan....
Ah, the lovely times in which if you grouped with someone, and if he lost connection, you'd have to wait half an hour to finally manage and get him back into the group...
Actually FF14 is posed to hit the MMO history records as the "best handling of a launch failure". I can name quite a few "failed on launch" games in the past that would have benefitted SO much from the post-launch treatment FFXIV had.
Age of Conan and Warhammer Online for instance, two titles with the potential to be very solid, but with such flawed launches (for different reasons) that the stupid idea of charging after the first free month in order to juice the playerbase as soon as possible single-handedly killed them.

After companies and the new battle system come, maybe
Agreed. Spuffin just hates the game. That is why most his posts are trollish. You must have not played Age of Conan....

FFXIV is making an awesome comeback. I believe greatly that Yoshi-P has our backs![]()
Living life one day at a time~!
Mending the past with the joys of today!
Already paid a month worth of Crysta. Would probably pay, to be fair.
I believed that they have potential like others had said but after 1.16 and they stated themselves that every 3 months after launch they will be implementing a large patch and smaller ones in between the fact and 1.16 was supposed to be "wow... not bad" but turned out to be disappointing is just another bad first impression as far as their "new direction"
Anyone can pop up and say "Hi there every body!! I am new to the team and promise to make a better game" Usually leaders say that to buil hype and create hope and to keep followers which sounds like many others have already been subjected to... Almost like a President and his Country...
I'll believe it when i see it and when I do, my rants will stop and i will p2p

Oh, sorry to disappoint, I'm completely serious. And you don't seem to offer an argumented counterpoint. Probably because you aren't able to.
Now you respond to your own question?I believed that they have potential like others had said but after 1.16 and they stated themselves that every 3 months after launch they will be implementing a large patch and smaller ones in between the fact and 1.16 was supposed to be "wow... not bad" but turned out to be disappointing is just another bad first impression as far as their "new direction"
