what did u imagine what ff14 would be when u bought the game?

I Imagined it to be a very cool Game. This Game has a lot of Potential, but not even a little has been put to use.

Graphics are astonishing, Weather are cool, but NPC needs to be renamed into Talking Statue. [NPC] stands for Non-Player Character, right? I don't think they even Define Characters anymore >.>

I haven't played FFXI nor WoW, you could say the only MMO Experience I've had is Aion but even so, I still think It's a lot more interesting than XIV is now. Another thing I hate, and has been mentioned a lot of times are the Zones, It's so boring, and dull. It's so Big yet it feels like I'm just running around in circles with different names. The cities did not meet my expectation, especially Gridania. When I look at the Artwork and Trailer, it looked so lively, there's Lights all around with Buildings. Other than that are the Systems everyone has been mentioning.

I expected it to be functional. I expected to have fun with my LS that I dragged over to play with me. We had 40 members at one point, now it's back down to the original 8 again while we just wait for the battle changes to come back. I had a feeling of "Oh, they had some great features in XI, I bet you they'll have them in this game as well!" Turned out to be nilch.

It look 100% like Final Fantasy lol even the name Final=Last Fantasy=Story just like you said. I think if Last story become a great hit SE going to have a hard time. Not if they buy of the company and make Last story there game again which they should have done to start with Last story and final fantasy would have been two great sellers for SE but w.e lol

Even though I know it's a serious game in development, I can't help but feel like The Last Story is the original FF creator's way of rebooting Final Fantasy as a whole since he left SE a few years ago. I mean..that name is SO similar xD

If the creator of FF has decided to do something new, with the state of SE's latest projects, I could abandon SE and FF for the new series. Sakaguchi made the games we love the FF series for... and I'm more his fan than Squares.

From the debut trailer of Last Story that I saw, it seems a lot like an action-based FF title. Sucks it's for Wii. I'm hopeful it will release on at least PS3 as well. And yeah, ever since Sakaguchi left, the FF titles (other than 11, for me.) were less than exciting for me. I liked FFXIII a bit, but not enough to praise it. And I never got into FFXII.

I did it the right way, friend gave me a buddy pass on the 22nd of sept, logged in not paying 1 penny for this game. I knew the game was in trouble back in beta which is why i'm greatful my buddy gave me his pass, lol.

I honestly expected a game where it learned from XI's mistakes and improved upon concepts that worked in XI while keeping it a unique experience.
