    It's more for the SCH side of the class. Just means when you set your pet to Obey they won't blow through all their abilities unless ordered to. An example would be Selena. When you first start a fight and order her to use skill speed buff, a sec after using it she'll use spell speed buff (overwriting the skill buff), and then follow it up with silence a sec later.

    ruin 2 is the same potency as ruin 1 with twice the mana cost if anyone isn't familiar

    I'd gladly trade thunder for more pet interaction(enkindle cd?!) but we didn't get any sooo

    After reading the thread it seems Tano and maybe some others think Ruin 2 is off GCD, it is not. Casting Ruin+Ruin2 will get the damage there sooner but it is not better than two Ruins. Ruin2 is only for using on the move or when something will die before you can cast a Ruin or the rare case where you can fit one in before a fester on RS.

    Replacing thunder with Ruin in our rotation does not make up for it at all. That cast does 80 potency while a thunder cast did 240-415 potency+ more when on RS.

    If you didn't know, our raw potency every 3 seconds is around 325 including Garuda but ignoring OGCD skills. A thunder tick is 35 potency, losing that puts us at 290 potency. That is literally an 11% loss.

    Summoners really got shafted, but don't worry if it makes you feel better WHM got nerfed holy and they also can't use thunder either so that makes it better. We can all be in the sinking caster boat together.

    Not even comparable. I have no sympathy for a Healer having DPS skills nerfed.

    I have some sympathy for people having long CD buffs nerfed by small amounts.

    Removal of an extra DoT for a DoT based class is ridiculous, and makes our rotation even more bland than it was before.

    Thunder is 240 potency worth of damage assume you throw in a ruin for 80 potency where you would of done thunder, you only lost 160 potency about every 18 sec, its not really all that much.

    Ruin's only there for when we don't have a DoT to apply. It's 160-335 potency lost on that cast alone, 320+ potency every minute lost

    Anyone that says this isn't a terrible nurf, clearly doesn't play SMN. Yes, SMN is absolutely destroyed and we have nothing to off-set it. Blizzard2? In what situation can this possibly be beneficial to use instead of Thunder? I already use not but 3 out of the 5 extra action slots that I get...now I'll only be using 2. We have nothing to make up for this. I have no idea why it was taken out and nothing to fill my rotation with...

    Running away from multiple enemies or players. Carby/Titan isn't going to control everyone around you, but a Swiftcast+Blizzard 2's AoE Bind can. Looking at it from a PvP perspective, they basically took away Thunder and gave you a(n admitedly situational) method of escape.
