I'm disgusted with the bard nerf.

Good bards will still be on par with good black mages.
Bad bards will now suck as bad black mages.

Before 2.1 (well, now) good bards could solo titan's heart (unlike any other dps class, even melee).

Bard deserved a nerf, deal with it. It's on par with the other ranged classes now.

To be honest as a tank i didn't like RoD change. It was a pretty useful debuff.
Also 200TP for accuracy down is just useless.

on par with blm? lol. u have no idea. let me break it down for u. currently with similarly geared bard and blms, blms will out damage bards by about 30-50k. The damage hierarchy goes like this SMN>BLM=MNK>BRD>DRG. its not much of a nerf but bards didnt need this nerf to begin with.

bard dps is not affected too much. just the burst damage, that is the highest of every dps class (see 4 man titan hard).

yeah i just hate that theyre making this class less engaging than it already is. pretty dumb that they made a "support" class lose the effectiveness of one of its support skills. people say 10% isnt much but it adds up over the course of 20 seconds. how many hits do u get in 20 seconds? and in coil the damage u get are in the thousands so 10% is a whole lot.

I don't say it's a good idea, i'm just seeing the new use of this skills, that will requiert to play often with the same group so we can maximize Total DPS of the group with that skill.

Where it'll become useless, in a pick up group, where ppl don't expect to have this skill.

But as i said, it's a personnal point of view, as i had to manage to lower my dps stuff because of accuracy not enough with full damage stats.

i dunno about u. but bards can only do limited amounts of ROD with the massive tp cost. ur saying that ur lower accuracy is gonna out dps ur 100% acc build with temporary ROD support?

I'm not sure you are actually parsing things if that's what you think the hierarchy is and I'm not talking about training dummy damage. Blm is by far and large the highest single target DD. Archer is second place simply because it never has to stop for any reason, then SMN if they actually know how to play (I've seen very few smns who know how to, however), then drg only because it's easier to sustain maximum dps than monk on bosses because of how often monk loses Greased Lightning.

Sure, under optimal conditions your hierarchy might be correct, but nothing worth doing has optimal conditions.
