Can we please get separate stat allocations for SMN/SCH?

We are all entitled to our opinion but I like it the way they have done it. If they allowed us to switch out our stats whenever we want, then what's the point of having the bonus stats in the first place, they should just take that away and add those points to the job itself.

I like having the freedom to choose and set these stats the way I want, and not have to change them every time I change my class, or have them change with the job. But that's my opinion.

Boom there it is. I'm a "min/maxer". Another glorious cop-out term. You know, some people work at wal-mart all their lives and are totally fine with accepting mediocrity. Others are driven to perform and achieve. If we were able to change our stats when switching jobs, how exactly would it harm your choice of pumping bonus stats into secondary and tertiary stats? Right, it wouldn't. But your voice that we, the other end of the spectrum, should be restricted is simply inconsiderate, selfish, and unreasonable.

This kind of stance discourages players from leveling and playing multiple jobs which stem from the same class. I have SCH/SMN at 50 but I only play SCH because I don't want to split half of my bonus stats into a worthless stat, or settle for a secondary stat. Inb4 I'm labeled "hardcore" or "vocal minority", or any other buzzword cop-out for wanting to perform as best as I can when I play a job in FF.

Maybe that's the point? Most games make you create an alternate toon to play another class. Just because this game was developed to let you play other classes with only one toon doesn't mean they have to make it simple. Also, Scholars have a Conjurer skill called Cleric Stance which swaps the INT and MND. You could put all your points in INT and then turn on your Cleric Stance.

As Yoshida mentioned in a previous LIVE letter, these two jobs were planned to share stats and there are currently no plans to separate their stat allocations. When leveling each class, we'd like players to carefully consider how you'd like to allocate your earned stats. Of course, there is an item that allows you to reset them should you decide to move in a different direction, but it's something that takes time to acquire.

I get the feeling once every class has two jobs we will either see a demand to lower the cost to switch stat points or to separate the job stat allocation. As of right sense it only effect two jobs your mot going to get much support.

wildsnipe the cleric stance messes up with all your equipment as well, so u will be screwed if you use it for sch/smn, its not just int mnd swap, so if u see someone using it pls tell them, another thing i wouldn't want the things from this thread, lets have some individuality i like the fact that you are given 2 directions sch or smn, if it would be the same, and they add the different stats for smn and scg than whats the point of arcanist being a dual job class, than it is the same as any other job, why didn't they seperate them? i like the things they are now, so pls don't change anything, people should decide if they like sch or smn more and stick to it, you have planty other jobs with fixed stats
