How do you deal with a rude player in DF?

I'm lucky I guess, I don't meet a lot of em. I usually just let them tire themselves out. Hey, THEY are the ones that look dumb. It's funny how stupid people can be.

If I'm the tank tho, and they're really morons and their crap gets to other people in the group, I just might egg em on and get them REALLY riled up. Also funny. I imagine them after the dungeon's over, still pissed off and cussing me, telling all their assholes friends how they just did a dungeon with stupid morons and going on and on... while the rest of us move on with our lives and forget they even existed, except maybe for the camp fire stories XD

I largely ignore it, they'll either drop or the run will be over soon enough that I'll never have to deal with them again. Trying to exact. "Revenge" is just stooping to their level and perpetuating the cycle, you've gone from being a "victim" to just another jerk.

And once the kick feature is added, if 3+ jerk in a group want to boot me from the group for spurious reasons , then I'm sure I wouldn't have enjoyed my time with them anyway. So I'll just reque and hope for a better group, no sense getting worked up about not getting to run with people I wouldn't get along with anyway.

Simply put, I leave. End of question. As Sweet Brown so characteristically put it: "Ain't nobody got time for that." If I am the first to leave and have to deal with the 15 minute penalty, then I just go do something else until it's over. I have a zero tolerance policy for rudeness. Video games should never stress me out more then my personal life.

Thats always a possiblity I guess you'd have to have pretty bad luck to come up with 3 douchey players. The way I look at df, its a gamble with what you come up with and you just play the hand you're dealt. If youre iv vegas and blow your wad on a hand of black jack, do you tell the dealer he sucks because you expected 21 and got 14?

If it's a question of language, sometimes just letting the person know that you can read what they're typing will get them to sober up. If it doesn't work, then either stop healing that person or stop taking hate for that person. In the case of healers when playing a DD, then you'll have to either let the others know what's going on or just ignore the comments. As long as the person is doing what they must for the dungeon, then the rest can be ignored.

And if you can't resolve or ignore the situation, well you can always just leave after apologizing to the others. No one will ever force you to play with someone you don't want to.

I've considered doing that from time to time but it's not fair to the 2 people who aren't doing anything wrong. I guess the best I can do is, when the vote kick comes in, is to vote off the rude player and hope the other players agree with me.

I usually leave since I don't deal with ignorance and stupidity. If we are near the boss and I am a tank, however, I will just pretend AFK until like 5 mins left in the instance then leave just to piss off the idiot(s) who ruined it for the entire party.

I don't care if you make mistake after mistake, I'll stay and coach you, the better you are the better the team right? I don't care if you watch every cut scene, its more fun that way and I never got to so there you go. But if you're rude..... I walk right out. I don't have the time for mess like this.
