Like others have said, be the bigger person and ignore it when possible, if their behaviour is too much then appologise to the group and leave. The worst thing you can do is get involved in some petty tit for tat, that just makes the whole experience miserable fo everyone else.
The worst I've had was some mid level dungeon, think it was Cutter's cry and a WHM was all over my ass the whole time, constantly berating me for not sleeping mobs (when I clearly was) and generally giving me a hard time, I ignored him for the most part but after a while I started to defend myself and to be fair to the tank so did he. WHM eventually left and we finished the dungeon with his replacement.
Why even bother with rude people in Duty Finder? Just ignore them and move on.
Adventure, that's the life for me!
Thanks for the words of advice everyone, it's nice to know that the community overall is so friendly![]()
Nah don't feel bad about leaving the innocent bystanders. They can blame the player(s) responsible for making the tank leave. At least you can easily queue up instantly for a whole new instance faster than the ones you left behind!Depends on what their rudeness stems from, but I generally make a constructive reply to try to fix the situation, and if that doesn't improve the situation, I look at what I'm doing and if it will be easier just to drop group and leave, I'll do that.
Sorry for the innocent bystanders that have to see me leave who were nice to me![]()
Generally I just keep quiet get my tomes and run out, but I had one extremely rude whm that caused me to just leave the instance. I could care less what they thought or the tomes, I don't have to put up with that crap and good luck to them in finding any friends and happiness by acting like that. It's just a game and shouldn't matter that much to me or them.
I get pissed beyond I dunno what when people queue for titan hm first time without looking up anything about the fight. Like seriously, if you don't want to put in the effort to do simple research on a fight that is universally known as a pug killer (aka you want to be carried), then you can enjoy playing the fight with 7 people. I am not going to move.
If I do DF I just queue JP not only do you not have to deal with tools but overall the group's are better.
