I have a few points:

1) Vesperia, you aren't fooling anyone. You are gifthorse, and your spamming is getting silly now. Just give it up, before you end up with another forum holiday. No one is amused, but most have you on ignore. I only removed you to read this thread, as it looked like it might have some interesting points.

2) I do sympathize with Yoshi-P to a point. He has stepped into a very broken ships helm, and it is already on fire, falling through the atmosphere. He is going to have to do something pretty magical to get it back onto a flight path we are all comfortable with, and not having us diving for the escape pods (metaphors are fun ^_^).

3) SE need to start compromising. They are not going to get any further with their attitude that we will just continue to wait. It is now time for them to show us what they are willing to do for their customers. I am not opposed to paying for this game, I would be very happy too, but until I see something worth paying for, I won't. SE need to stop with the promise of new and exciting adventures, and fix the ones we are all currently having.

I totally understand it is a big job, but after a year (soon), not much has improved. Either we see the basics sorted, so the game is no longer a deterrent, or your last remaining die hards are going to be gone too SE.

I sometimes worry that your company doesn't understand the serious situation it is in. You are selling licences left, right and centre, cancelling projects, and losing money. You can't rely on your die hard fans much longer, because you are losing them too. Your company always reminded me of Peter Pan. It never needed to grow up because it always had fun in mind, and fantasy worlds, but now, it might just be the time for you to grow up and face life as an adult.

Well, I think that it's not the community that is to blame. The community did reality check him in an unfortunate way a couple of times. First in response to his first light-hearted letter, and second in a couple of trolls in the Japanese earthquake well-wishing thread. But I think the biggest reason behind the decline in his producer's letters is that he has been sobered up by the shortcomings of the FFXIV development team. He has seen their lack of ability firsthand and it is that that has taken the spring out of his step.

If you harken back to our earliest and fondest memories of Yoshi-p (the bright and keen young man from six months ago), a comparison to the Yoshi-p of today would suggest he has lost something - primarily the trusting and hopeful nature he was born with. A cursory glance at the decline in literary flare of his Producer's Letters is proof enough of that.

Our constant complaints and double-guessing have worn him down and caused him to grow up way too fast. He promised us so much and all we did was throw it back in his face like last week's garbage. Is this what you really wanted? Is it? To wear the poor man down to breaking point?

For shame.

Well maybe it's because some people told him to stop being all light-hearted in his letters. They wanted facts and nothing else and it got to him. I'm pretty sure the endless whining and complaining about the work they've done doesn't help either. This community cannot and will probably never appreciate anything the dev team does, it's disgusting.

I think he gets it. I get frustrated like everyone else but when I do, I try and remember that they brought us XI which was/is one of the most indepth MMOs ever on the market. XI blew me away for years and XIV has that potential.

That being said, last night we went NM hunting in our LS and seen an Archer tanking, using Sacrifice III, and Emulate. He was self-healing for about as much as I do on my 50 THM. It was very discouraging to our tank in the group...he asked what the whole point of his class was...

Now with that...this broken system is not Yoshi's. I look forward to the adjustments promised to us to begin in a couple weeks. I'm cheering him on!

And what hard evidence do you have to support your theory?
In the interviews and letters he seems very optimistic. Belief that he's somehow distraught over the game and its players is nothing but pure speculation with little to no bearing on fact.

It's been on a 2 and a half week schedule for a while now. Probably since it's not text-only or because he has to deal with details like 1.18.
