You guys have to remember they stated they are changing the class abilities around so Con its self might not even be the same. Also complaining now is pointless everyone knew drastic changes where coming so there is no point in being mad you might have to play CON this way now or don't play it at all.I agree with this, I dont understand why we get only 1 job per class. If Conjurers only turn into white mages (which is wierd because they get the only elemental nukes) then whats the point to playing the conjurer? Your advanced class is a white mage so you might as well make conjurer a white mage and totally abolish the class. Why give us the option to specialize in a certain area per class if you only have one option?
I was thinking multiple jobs per class so people can branch off into their favorite role. Conjurers that want to nuke go blm, healers go whm. I know this has been brought up time and time again as "well what about X class". Thats for the developers to decide, we still have arcanist guild after all.
Gladiators could branch off into a dps class or tank class, etc etc.
I'll feel sorry for all the people playing Conjurer Now because they wanted to be an Elementalist if all the elemental spells get moved to Thaumaturge and they have no level in thaum. Or vice versa if its the cures that move.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
They did indeed.
I don't really get why people think the current classes are going to lose much. Even if they specialise in one area, the base class will probably function -pretty much- like they do now. I.e. a conjurer that can only specialises in BLM will still be able to use the spells they have no as a conjurer. The WHOLE point of keeping the base classes was that they were good for solo, and then the jobs were good for parties.
That said, I'm as disappointed as anyone that it's one job per class. I want my lil' conjurer to be able to be WHM or BLM depending on the situation.
Also, I honestly doubt it'll work like Conjurer is BLM and Thaum is WHM, just because Conjurer has the classic WHM spells. Unless they switch the sacrifice stuff and all of that with cures etc, I'd expect Thaumaturge to get a job that suits it's style more, even if it's a new one. Something like Martyr, a healer that uses self-sacrifice or something would certainly make more sense than slapping WHM on it and calling it done.
Of course, we don't know how spells are going to shift around and that.
I don't want jobs to be able to move between classes, I want each class to get a series of individual roles that all have unique character and style. Considering XIV's predecessor currently has 20 jobs, I don't think boosting the current 7 coming up to 14 is that crazy, it's probably more to do with the workload involved.
You're making assumptions and treating them as if they're fact, again. We don't know how it's going to work yet. They might even let people reassign levels after this, assuming they don't make an exception to the 1-job rule for magic classes.I'll feel sorry for all the people playing Conjurer Now because they wanted to be an Elementalist if all the elemental spells get moved to Thaumaturge and they have no level in thaum. Or vice versa if its the cures that move.
Because WHite Mage will suck at solo and very low-man content, how are you guys not getting this yet? (Not saying I support 1-class-per-job and vice versa, but it's not rocket science.)I agree with this, I dont understand why we get only 1 job per class. You know what the word "IF" means? because I'm pretty sure I used it.

I know. But if the few skills they do move around, because they said they were, Are the single reason a person is playing a certain class as their main get moved around. That persons going to be pissed.

They sure are. I suppose if people DO bitch enough they might allow level redistribution between the classes they changed.
