Well it already has effected pve. What a lot of 2.0 players don't know is mages use to be move and cast. Which was changed solely on the belief that it was going to be over powered in pvp. So instead of a compromise like in eqoa having a Mage at least be able to walk and cast not run they just made it you can't move even worse if some one sprint and just gets behind you before you cast your spell is cancelled.
