Honestly? Hildibrand is "that guy", maybe like someone you know, who somehow lucks into getting the credit, even if sometimes it's really someone else, like you, who does the actual legwork to figure stuff out.
At first I thought Ms. Mhakaracca knew he's not "all that", but sort of followed him anyway. Later it seemed even if she knows he's not supremely awesome, she's still his biggest fan and his completely devoted supporter/assistant.

As far as being a source of "much life" to v1.0, it was more like realizing the team could not only "fix what's broke" (as is said in southern USA), but could do some quality comedy as well, along with an epic theme song. At times Hildibrand is so ridiculous and over-the-top you can't help but laugh. And then you realize you're laughing while playing v1 and you know the game is in good hands. At least that's how it was for me.

It's really sad to see so many who don't realize the awesomeness of Hildibrand. It's almost like people don't realize that he's the one who saved us all from Bahamut.

I wish they would use older final fantasy characters instead. As an old school ff1 to ff9 player, I have no idea who this is. I'm sure I'm not alone feeling this way.
