    i can assure you that not many people have ever played a mmo that released and had a horrid start and was completely remade to come out again 2 years later while keeping the original progression. this does include you as someone never done it before i'd imagine.

    I'm not sure what the horrid start or keeping the progression has to do with standard loot lockouts used in this type of game.

    the fact that this is not like every other mmo that comes out. every other mmo comes out and you start from scratch and do the story and level. this causes the lack of content to be masked due to it taking a while to get to that content. by the time you get to the content that was in the game on release they had time to create more content so it takes much longer for the lack of content to show itself. this game didn't have that as leveling is stupidly fast, people started already in endgame, and the lockouts were on the first pieces of content released.

    edit: the post you quoted was in your response to never playing a mmo before. the position this game is in is not comparable to any other mmo today as it has a history and is not a new mmo.

    LFR in WoW only lets you loot a boss once per week.......... In fact WoWs LFR is almost exactly like Crystal Tower except CT seems to be 1 loot per week from any boss where LFR is you can loot every boss once per week.

    Yeah because that's exactly what he was implying. Tell me, what exactly will having no lockouts do to make everything so much better? All it will do is allow people to burn through all the new content in a day and then come on these forums to whine even more about how there's nothing to do. FFS...it's like arguing with 5-year-olds....

    I agree that levels should have been reset when the game was relaunched, but leveling doesn't take long in this game regardless, so that intro gate time is basically a moot point. I also agree they need more end-game content, but removing lockouts would only exacerbate that problem. People would grind the hell out of those instances, complain for 2-3 weeks that they didn't have anything to do at end game and quit. Pretty much every successful mmo has had similar style lockouts. Planes in EQ, dynamis (or HNM spawn times) in ffxi, raids in Wow. Being upset about gated content is like me being upset that I have to level up to access a raid, it's just how this type of game works.

    do u know that it's impossible to be full geared in a day with RNG and a proper lockout ?
    that if u want to gear ur main job and ur alts.

    Where did taking off myth cap come into play? For one Any content that drops the best gear in the game should have lockouts. Raising the Myth cap to 450 is a mistake it shouldn't be done until 2.2. I must have missed something but Everyone is talking about Crystal Tower ilvl80 gear not ilvl90. So there should either be no cap or a smaller cap (72hrs).

    This has no impact on anything besides people wanting to make everything easy mode. Maybe if the content we have now wasn't so lame people wouldn't be asking for +1 people, Its boring and some people want to get the grind for the week over with.

    Now you are correct that if the cap on Myth was removed then it would make any gear under it obsolete. Back to what I said the best gear in the game will always have a cap always. As for Crystal Tower SE screwed up with ilvl55 requirement it should be ilvl70 ( To some that's to harsh) but having it at ilvl70 forces everyone to gear in DL/ilvl70 crafted, and by doing that makes content relevant.

    SE also screwed up by adding Pharos and making the gear ilvl60, Don't see the point in that since we have AK which drops ilvl60. The gear in Pharos should have been ilvl75.

    So Myth tomes will always have a cap. Until SE adds the new tomes that gives us better gear. Maybe AF2?

    We're not asking for CoB, Myth Cap to be removed. We want the week long lockout on Crystal Tower Gear to be removed or reduced.

    If lockouts were ever removed and someone can show me their character geared out in a day I will give them 52mil. It is very unlikely that someone is going to get that lucky and obtain it in a day. A week maybe.

    5 pieces of CT gear no accessories? That's 1 in 40 chance to get a piece of gear. Crystal Tower run with such a low ilvl requirement isn't going to be over in 10mins more like 60-90, Unless you get lucky and the 2 other groups are decked out. All gear is on RNG, Once you get more of the pieces you need its going to become harder to get the last few. And don't forget you will have to loot against others.
