    To the person talking about FFXI...do you know how long it took for all that horizontal endgame progression to come into being? There was NOTHING endgame until the first expansion and it took a full year before Dynamis was fully implemented. When the game launched here Dynamis hadn't even come out if I remember right. It was added the next patch when the level cap hit 60. For upwards of six months all you could do was grind City Dynamis for a miniscule chance of getting your gear drop which would likely get ninja lotted by your dickhead LS leader. Sky and the ground Gods didn't exist until the patch that concluded the Zilart storyline. There were of course BCNMs scattered in there if you cared to grind seals. From there all you had was HNM spawns, the same Dyna grind with new and more aggravating zones and Sky until close to the end of the Chains of Promathia patches when Limbus and Sea were introduced. Take off the nostalgia glasses...

    As for the loot lockout...yes it's a little annoying and yes the gear isn't the top tier...BUT...without the lockout they'd just put in the annoying drop rates that were brought up earlier and the gear grind would be the same. I DO believe the lockout is a per chest/boss lockout and if it isn't then even I am going to be disappointed because that would make the grind technically slower than Coil which is ridiculous. As it stands it should be easier than Coil and Myth gear to get but harder than Darklight and crafting gear. If you wanted SE could always put in another tome system between philo and myth lol
