Things to do while locked out.

I just don't get why non-battle stuff hasn't been put out to deal with lock-outs yet.

I know people hate FFXI, but literally copy/paste chocobo raising in that game and put in this game. It took a month to get your own. You visited it once a day. You customized it to be faster than rented, and can ride longer than rented.

Chocobo racing, enough said.

Personally I feel like at least two non-battle should be taking priority. Honestly it should be chocobo raising/racing.

People can watch people race, or be in the race themselves.

That famous FF card game would be nice to have too in the chocobo racing area. Bet gil if you want or an item?

Treasure Hunting is coming in 2.1 and will fill this role of something (effectively) non-battle. We'll get more as time goes on, but it's starting to trickle in already

atleast they didnt go the FFXI route with dynamis where you had to buy a 1,000,000gil clock and if you wipe your done for the next 3 days.

Chocobo breeding and racing - yes! A thousand times yes to the racing, on the breeding front yes but as long as its not as a gil sink as it was VII (be it a rewarding one with Gold Chocobo and the materia you could aqquire with it).
Card game like FFVIII or FFIX - must! Should playable with NPCs (like in previous games) as well as human players
More Quests - story and side quests please, expand on the lore and world you've created

I'd generally agree we need lil more non-combats activities to do between dungeons and lockouts (not that I'm locked out of anything yet at lv38 lol), but 2.1 is a step in the right direction all in all this update is better late then never or poorly implemented.
Lets just hope 2.1 doesnt cause any un-for-seen bugs or stablity issues
