Why the SCH hate from WHM?

Like it's been mentioned here already, I've run into jerk healers on both WHM and SCH. In a recent Ifrit HM run, we had a SCH who trolled by just using Physick on himself all run until he ran out of MP, and never moving out of the AoE/Charge, intentionally. Shortly after, in Garuda HM, I had a WHM who whined the whole run despite being a useless healer, then left after the first person died. I think we just need to accept that some players, and thus some healers, are pretty useless and/or rude.

I know a few have left over bitterness towards SCH coming from XI. For a while almost no one wanted a WHM over a SCH for many things. I hear it is like that again but I don't play XI any more so I don't know.

SCH is Proactive healing, WTM is Reactive healing.

This, this all the way this... Again as I sated earlier the fact is the pair make the perfect Yin and Yang team, 2 whm or 2 SCH are simply not as effective in my perspective.

I don't think there's more hate on Scholars than any other class gets hate, I just think we, as healers, care about what other people think more than other classes.

In my experience certain classes have their own player base mentalities. For example, great tanks that I've encountered usually have Egos, but not in the bad sense. They know when they're doing their job correctly, they're usually the more confident ones in the party, and they also tend to be the most patient.

Healers usually have the mentality of being the supportive and either quiet type or social butterfly (I've rarely seen a middle ground). They like having a feeling of dependency on them and they rarely ever enjoy any role more than a Support role. However they also tend to be somewhat thin skinned and a majority of main-spec healers I've met just can't handle criticism or react poorly to it (Not saying all). So maybe we just take the harsh words to heart more.

I've encountered bad WHM and bad SCH. If I'm a WHM and telling a SCH off its because they aren't doing their job and are doing who-knows-what. I've also seen WHM doing bad jobs (Cure II spam on nearly full HP tanks...Medica spam, Regen before pulls, etc) and I've had SCH telling me off for healing a fight in a way I know works

I love having a SCH with me in 8-mans. The synchronization between the two is amazing. But there are good and bad heals, in both classes. I like having good heals with me, since it means I have to carry them otherwise.

And I am leveling SCH right now; lv40 currently. I want to be able to do both depending on what the other heal we get happens to be.

I hate on SCH because:
1) no aggro
2) mitigation choices up the arsehole
3) scaling mp recovery with Aetherflow + Energy Drain option
4) able to do other stuff while their fairy acts like a pocket WHM
5) lustrate

As a WHM, I have insane aggro issues - trying to heal the OT on T4 makes this painfully clear. WHM being designed as a curebot means that it has very few ways to help control damage intake. Benediction is nearly worthless. Cure III is nearly worthless. WHM DPS means that very little healing is happening. Presence of Mind has such a long CD that I usually forget it's a button. Reliance on BRDs for higher tier boss fights.

The synergy in 8-mans with one of each is superb, but healing solo it just irks me that SCH has so much freedom to multitask. I have both at 50 so nothing personal, just class mechanic jealousy - often I hear WHMs wish they had a bunch of things SCH has, while all SCH wish for is Medica II.

As far as I can recall, you can solo heal garuda easily if the team, apart from your so-called 'bad sch', is good at doing their job.

This attitude of yours is the reason of what the OP said. If you keep wiping at garuda with 1 bad sch, it's either your team is bad (OT & dps), or your healing as whm is also bad.

Funny to me how you are pretty much calling me elitist and your entire post reeks of pure cocky asshatery, "Easily" if you DON'T SUCK, then you can EASILY solo Garuda. Pot calling kettles colors doesn't suit me well and I was one of the only honest people to have posted here, they asked why the beef I explained. First off these were PUGs in every case with 2-4 people who had never done it before and yes the SCH was being lazy I don't live in this sunshine bunnies, rainbows and friggin Unicorn world where players sucking doesn't happen.
