Why the SCH hate from WHM?

When I heal as WHM, I don't get crap from SCHs. When I heal as SCH, I get crap from WHM (and in both scenarios, I've been in situations where the other person will die and I have to solo heal the instance and not necessarily be able to raise them, and in doing so successfully I know I'm carrying my weight in either class).

What is it about dedicated WHMs that gives them this entitled attitude? Can't we just be HEALERS and stop worrying about this crap?

So far, the best parties I've been in duty finder, have had a combo of WHM and SCH healer. The two jobs heal so differently that they cover each other really, really well.

This isn't a discussion on which is better btw. now that I've levelled them both I can't really say I like one more then the other, there just different tools in the healer toolbox.

The problem isn't WHMs in general acting superior. The problem is a few jerks who happen to be WHMs acting superior and (to a lesser extent) your assumption that said smugness extends to every WHM ever.

SCH are, for the most part, fine. WHM are, for the most part, fine. The only class everyone should harp on is Miner/Botanist. Hooooooo boy are those boring to level.

No, I will tell you what my personal issue is because I do have issue however it is NOT SCH specific it is bad healer specific. I have seen it more often with SCH however and there is a reason for it. Last night I did multiple Garuda runs and one factor was consistent with my runs where the PT kept on wiping a bad SCH. I emphasize bad SCH because it was not the job itself. The main thing I think is it is easy to be a little bit lazier when your heals are being managed by an NPC and in every case I was watching the SCH focus on everything but healing they would only jump in when the pt heal was low.

this was very, very taxing the few times that I really needed help. It happens with whm too btw, but in whm case we HAVE to cast on you ourselves which makes being a little lazy a little bit more obvious. THAT all stated NOTHING is better than having a SCH as my team mate I LOVE the yin and yang of the two jobs in harmony and I would never berate the job, I need my SCHs ; ;

I didn't mean it as every WHM is a jerk. I AM a WHM too. I'm just asking why is it all the jerk healers that DO exist appear to be playing WHM? I've just gotten to the point where now my SCH is in close to the same point in progress as my WHM. I never saw this issue ever when playing WHM. But since I've been playing SCH, numerous WHMs will give me crap for no reason whatsoever. I literally had a WHM emote that he "spit on my dirty SCH shoes."

I realize the nasty players are but a smaller segment of the overall population, but for some reason, those jerk players tend to flock to one class over another.

And Miner/Botanist isn't so bad that's a little unfair. Fishing is the REAL snore. I can't count the number of times I faceplanted my keyboard from falling asleep leveling that class.

I think that's just bad luck OP. I've run in to a few SCH jerks as well as WHM; jerk players will be jerks no matter what job they play.

The relationship between sch and whm is synergetic, but sch is more of a hybrid class and whm is more of a pure healer. The sch has it's summon, but that is nothing more than a supplemental heal, the sch however has more freedom to dps because of it. I think some players who play whm but have never played sch, or have friends who play sch, may assume that the sch role is the same as whm, and should be doing the same things. That is their mistake. Then again, there are some sch who, when the whm starts having troubles, they do not pick up the healing to help out. So there is a story on both sides.

I never gave much about such people - whatever class they may be. You're playing an MMORPG, and there will ALWAYS be some jerks.

I main WHM. I <3 my SCH buddies and any WHM with a brain will feel the same way.

That is the problem though, many players just lack that ever so needed brain.

Next time you see someone whining about SCH or WHM, just remember, they're of primitive intelligence and don't know any better. Treat them as such and speak with very small, easily understandable words. You might enrage them if you confuse them.
