Actually that is stated and addressed in the OP. The OP's issue is that she wants to be able to have Carbuncle as a Summoner. Switching to Arcanist is not a solution because you lose out on job abilities like Fester.

Oh trust me I read the OP, as well as the posts following it. But the fact that they want Carbuncle back on a job that isn't lore-tied to Carbuncle is like you took a lollipop from a two year old and replaced it with a single tiny tootsie roll telling them that it's simply not meant to be.

In FFxi, Carby was the tank and your best friend of all avatars. You'll might use him for most of the game because he is powerful!

Carbuncle was not a tank, he was a kite mechanic. If he was a tank he'd survive longer than 1 minute. Only reason he was used more than others was because you could literally reduce his perpetuation cost to 0. Even in some cases regain 1 MP a second while he was out.
