CT loot lockout and the direction of this game will probably cause our FC to quit

And if they don't like the amount of content that's out (or how it's implemented) the solution is simple: quit subscribing. If you continue to pay for a service that you're unsatisfied with (for whatever reason), that's your fault. Nobody is stopping you from playing a different game.

That's the plan, but we're true fans of FF and this game so we would like to fight for it before giving up on it. If they continue this route, and just like the title of this topic says, we'll be forced to quit due to the direction of the game is going. We're a small group of people who likes to be competitive. Lockouts kills competition and does not allow for people to put more time into their characters to get stronger. Without competition, there is no motivation. Without motivation, there is no reason to continue.

You say only elitists have every job with full DL and u can't bother with that, yet your altitude clearly states you want competition and cant stand "anything more than 9 minute WP runs"...*scuffs* oh the irony. You're like a wanabe Elitist (by your own definition of being competitive) then by your own words since you dont have the ability to grind out the rest of the gear for your alt jobs.

Then, the objetive of the game is, leveling all class to 50, wear full darklight meanwhile one class clear Coil?.
DL MNK = 3480 philo
DL tank = 3480 philo
DL Heal = 3480 philo
DL Caster = 3480 philo
DL DRG = 3480 philo
DL jewelry tank/heal/caster = 1500x3 philo
DL MNK/DRG = 3000 philo

It's around 25k = 250 runs to AK, WP and CP. Call me crazy if i don't wanna do it.

If you want equip one class in CT, you will need 5 week(if you are lucky).

2.1 Bring a lot of content. Yes i confirm that, but, what happen if you don't get your item from CT on Monday? The item lookout "force"(i say force, but you can do it or not) to repeat CT other day, and constantly until you get one. it can be frustrating.

Try to equip the 6 specc. It's not fun.

Coil have a lookout, but once you clear, you don't need think about it. You wait to the other week to defeat the bosses and pray that enormous snake/ball/chest drop your gear. Or you have the option to use mytho to replace that item.

Y'know that's the same deal every dungeon is, right? I mean, did you want to reach the end of Crystal Tower and have them give you all the gear on a silver platter? Seriously, if the lockout wasn't once a week, the main difference is that you would be able to run Crystal Tower 100 times in a week and fully equip all of your Jobs(if you're lucky), and then never have to touch it again.

The problem with loot lockout is that there's no motivation to do it once you've gotten your loot for the week. That means... if you've gotten your loot on Monday and your FC mate asks for people to help on Tuesday, all they will get for a reply is cricket noises. If the gear in CT was the best gear and was for my FC member's main class, then I would definitely help even after I've gotten my piece for the week already. However.... CT gears are for alts because they aren't as good as AF+1 or Allagan.

It's basically content being added for the newer players.... not the players who has been playing since release.

First...that sounds like an awfully damn selfish attitude to me. You might want to look into a different Company if this isn't your policy. Probably somewhere more friendly. As for myself, and the members of my Free Company, we're more than willing to help each other, or our friends from other Companies grab the gear they want from the dungeons they want to get it in. That's why we all have Ifrit weapons now, and are working on getting Garuda's.

Second, please speak more for yourself here. I've been playing ARR since Beta 3 and I pre-ordered the game, yet I haven't even started to get into Darklight proper yet. There are a good number of people playing "since release" that haven't outlevelled Crystal Tower's gear yet.

Selfish attitude is not wanting to help them at all. I help them in other ways such as crafting, completing anything that will help them progress on their MAIN class. I'm the FC leader and if I devoted my time to help every member in the FC to gear their alts, how do you expect me to have time to help all the other members that are trying to gear up their mains?

So because you don't put in as much time as other people or because you aren't as efficient as other people, those other people should be forced to go at your pace?

I geared all my alts with AK gears which allows me to do every single content in the game anyways. It's not like I can bring my alts into Coil since I can only do it once to gear my main. I was going to do the same with CT gears, but there's going to be a lockout, meaning if I get my piece on Monday, I am done for the rest of the week. There's also a lockout on the Extreme Primal fights. Would you rather me say only idiots have every job with full DL? Honestly, what is the point of gearing ALL your alts with full DL when you're not going to run Coil with them anyways? You're locked out remember?

We could ask you why you run Coil. What are you gearing your main job up for? There is nothing past Coil remember?
Maybe people want the option to run Coil on different classes, maybe their group is heavy on physical dps, and they are gearing up a mage class they can swap to help with turn 4. Maybe they are gearing other jobs for future content, because there will be more patches and even expansions in the future. Maybe they like getting rid of all the non blue items in their armory chest. Maybe they see it as a challenge to not only level, but also gear all their jobs as best they can.

CT is an alt dungeon and the gears are better than DL gears and you can complete it with AK gears.

I mean... if DL gears can be put into armoury or be upgraded to something better... I would definitely get DL gears for all my alts. As it stands now, it's a god damn waste of time because of the Coil lockout. I've been doing Coil since the 2nd or 3rd week since release and STILL haven't gotten my main fully geared with Allagan drops yet. CT is a slight upgrade compared to Coil since it's a loot lockout, but people don't realize that even though it's a "guaranteed" drop, it's not really guaranteed that you'll get your piece. You can probably run it 100 times in a week and if you're unlucky, you won't get your piece of gear. That's why I think the lockout is unnecessary. I mean... if it drops gears equivalent to Allagan gears or better, then the lockout is definitely warranted.
