If IF this happens I highly doubt SE will sellout to an American company. Buy one, maybe. The likely winner would be either Sony or Nintendo. SE is likely still unhappy about microsoft's decision regarding ffxiv on the xbone. If an American company would win the only one I would actually hang around to see what they could do would be Valve. I've seen what EA, Perfect World, and Activision-Blizzard do to games. I would quit the minute the word came down from on high.

I totally agree with you on this but, Perfect World is Chinese not American and, I have seen very little good come from them

Anyway Activision Blizzard can't buy anything for a while, they did lose a lot of cash to get free from Vivendi.
EA did lose lot of cash with the Zynga adventure.
Microsoft and Sony can't afford to buy anything right now as they probably will need lot of cash for their console launch.

If Sony wins... then im not too fussed, as ff has always been more of a sony thing (Excluding the originals on nintendo), If Microsoft wins, still not fussed as long as they dont get greedy and keep it as a xbox exclusive, if EA wins, god cant even help it. They will probably do something stupid like, Here you go Dice, make the next FF, and SE make the next BF...... (In reference to BW making C&C)
If perfect world wins, then looks like its F2P with a crap load of micro transactions for every single game.

But overall im not worried, because OP is just full of it. Just like most of the internet is.

Doesn't SONY own like 8-10% of shares in SE anyways? Personally out of all the options listed, I wouldn't mind sony at all, being they give more wiggle room to developers etc to pretty much do what they want.
