This would be fantastic. There's an NPC in Fallgourd that is fishing while sitting. Make it happen, Squee!I would like to suggest that we be able to fish while sitting down.
For example near the exploratory ice hole in Coerthas there's a cute little stool that I want to sit on while fishing. Besides there's even a lot of NPCs who are fishing sitting down and I want to sit with them!
Clearly you just restrict trading to people on the same server... like every other MMO. >_>

Revenant's Toll Suggestion
Adventurers from around Eorzea are spending a lot of time at Revenant's Toll. They look for work, recruit for people to do things, etc etc. If Revenant's Toll were real place then construction would be going on. My suggestion is this. Revenant's Toll should start growing into a real town. It wouldn't have to spring up overnight, but a building could be added every patch or so. In time Revenant's Toll could become a full city.
This is probably desperately needed also:
A 30min+ penalty for failure to accept duty after queue is ready.
I normally play tank and i never queue for duty in progress cause i enjoy the game and i dont mind doing the entire dungeon. But as of lately for a little variety and completion personal achievements i've gotten all 9 relics and trying to get full DL on every job, so i decided to run as a Damage Dealer or a healer using duty finder, and i've noticed many tanks seem to queue for party in progress but then met with a party not in progress they drop duty finder and requeue.
If this is done twice (for sake of maybe missing the first queue) there should be a severe penalty for using duty finder in this way.
Please consider implementing some form of counter action against abusing the duty finder thank you.
A few things I was thinking about that could be worked on in the future if they aren't already in the works.
- Ability to change gear while sitting
- Sitting on tables would be funny though slightly inappropriate :P
- Option not to have the extra confirmation for yes/no when riding lifts/chocoporting/ferry or airship riding. The chance of a miss-click would be at the player's own risk.
- While moving items to and from a retainer, especially in large quantity - would it be possible to have the option for them to drop on the current inventory page, instead of defaulting to the first empty slot on the earliest page (am I wording that right? lol) The current way has me clicking and dragging a LOT, which can get painful on the wrist for me. I use a gamepad so this would speed things up. Or if not that, then perhaps be able to drag the icon for the item, to the tab (1, 2, 3, 4, etc) and have it drop on that page would be the next best thing. The upcoming autosort may also help things, since I am terribly OCD with this stuff (or even have the pulldown menu for Entrusting or Retrieving include "Move to Page 1", "Move to Page 3", etc)

UI -
I play on a laptop (don't judge me). In the evenings, I hook it up to my big TV in the lounge @1920x1080, but during the day it's on my lappy screen 1366x768. Of course, everything's higgeldy-piggeldy and overlapping on the smaller screen and I have to move hotbars and chat windows around if I want to make any sense of what's going on on-screen. I then have to move them back in the evening. It would be nice if there was the ability to locally save different UI layouts, not just for this resolution-change issue, but also perhaps so that at a click of a button you could hide various elements during instanced content etc.
Secondly, I switch between Keyb/Mouse (crafting, gathering, inventory management, etc.) and Gamepad (battle content) regularly. It would be nice if that sub-menu command could be mapped to hotbar either directly or given a command line execution so I could macro it in myself.
Please create new miner/botanist gathering spots that are just the elemental shards and crystals.
Please create some new Culinarian lvl 70+ recipes that give a decent increase in all stats yes even gathering and crafting stats too and make them so only the player who made them can use them.
Greetings,Not sure if it has been mentioned, but..
Does anyone else have a hard time telling when a fish is on the line while relying on visual cues in stealth? I know there are audio cues as well, but personally I can't stand to fish without having something else to listen to.
Maybe add some form of action lines around the fishing rod? I don't know.
We understand that there have been comments mentioning that it’s difficult to see fishing rods when they are cast depending on the time of day, lighting, and other factors, and that there have been requests to make the tip of the rod shine when you hit a fish. While we do not have any plans at the moment to implement something like this, we will be keeping an eye on the requests and look into it.
On a side note, in patch 2.1 we will be making it so fishing rod movement varies depending on the size of the fish you hit.

Please do this. Fishing is fun and all but if I need a stack of something Im watching netflix or listening to music while im doing it so the audio cue isnt good enough.

I know one of the reasons why you guys don't implement a line on chat log states that a fish is biting - prevent easy botting
but plz, plz, at least make the rod more obvious to be seen while in stealth mode.
