That is what is wrong with gamers today..... if something does not work right 100% right off the bat, they scream "take it away it sucks"
Do you really think it's economically feasible to have several (or several dozen) machines to handle the current pointless complexity all for ... trading items? When it can be done with as little as one machine?

Do you realize that "getting the servers up to snuff" isn't just slapping more hardware on them? That they'll need to spend more time and money modifying the software in order to make the whole system work seamlessly? That they'll need to spend more time and money on maintaining more machines? That downtime during a crash or maintenance or upgrade would be significantly higher because of this?

Do you realize that it would take a small fraction of that time and money to simply get rid of all the complexity and make it a simple transaction database with the interface and everything being done in the game client?

Probably not.

And for the record, I'm advocating the removal of retainers/zones because I can analyze the system properly, and because I know there will still be limitations and problems with the retainer dungeons regardless of how much work is put into them. Some designs just don't work, bro.
