Was the suit NQ vs the HQ version? Sometimes I see this on alot of philo mat items but it has been mostly the NQ run to the ground cheap and the HQ left being priced high still. This drives me nuts, you need 7 coke for a Darksteel Ingot. A Darksteel Ingot is 300K + each on Excalibur MW. You need 2 Darksteel Ingots (plus a bunch of Darksteel and Rosegold Nuggets) to make Heavy Darksteel Armour.
HQ Heavy Darksteel Armour on MW on Sunday when I checked was 330k

				Question: Did you read this?
This means that all 2 star recipes will require the same ammount of tomestones (probably with v2.1).We understand that the cost of materials for 2-star crafts is a bit high when it comes to their ingredients purchased with Allagan tomestones of philosophy. Therefore, we will make the necessary changes to recipes that use more than 1125 tomestones and scale them down a bit so all of the recipes will no longer use more than 1125 tomestones.
That's great, although some items still require too much compared to darklight stuff, but it's a real improvement.
Wrong aaaaand wrong.
A darksteel ingot requires 9 coke, not 7 coke.
Every piece of heavy darksteel gear requires 1 darksteel ingot. This means 1 for head/body, 1 for hands, 1 for legs/feet => 3 darksteel ingots => 3375 tomestones of philosophy for a whole set of heavy darklight gear, which requires, as I already said, the lowest ammount of tomestones for a complete set.

Complain? I don't run dungeons. One star is fine by me.
Who can afford Philo Mats? People who run WP every day. They aren't buying them though. My reply was to 'over supplied' Philo. They aren't over supplied. They are out of range of the people you want to buy them. So don't 'complain' when they sit on the market board for 6 weeks and get undercut.

You are right, I'm forgetting the Plate is made from Nuggets, however my argument still applies. It makes no sense to buy an Ingot (or buy coke to make and Ingot) as well as the additional materials and sell HQ armour at such a low price.A darksteel ingot requires 9 coke, not 7 coke.

The people who farmed all of the mats themselves have no initial investment in the item and can sell cheaper than someone who bought the coke/mats to manufacture the item. My guess is that is how the price is so low for some of these.

Ah, now I got it. Yes you are right. It doesn't make sense to buy processed materials.
I think prices are a problem of the potency of the item compared to darklight.
If the crafted gear is HQ the main stats (Vit, Str,...) are the same as darklight while NQ is lower and considered "useless" and "fail" because of that.
HQ crafted 2-star gear is the standard and not considered superior to darklight by the majority of players.

And here we go... people whine and SE agrees to fuck the economy.

So, you say it's a good thing for crafters if people don't buy their stuff because darklight gear is 20-70% cheaper?
Why do you think many players buy, for example, vanya robes but not the pants?
With the planned reduction of tomestone materials and the resulting reduction in price, the demand for crafted gear will increase.
Sorry but I don't see where this "fucks" the economy. Care to elaborate?
Do you have some of the items requiring more than 1125 tomestones up for sale and can't sell them?
sorry, but with the crystal tower and ilvl 80 items... yeap crafters are screwedor am mistaken about lvl 80

I don't have the link ATM, but I still remember it was stated by SE sometime in August that 9x125 Philo per ingot/silk is a "temporary measure to slow down gear acquisition".
Now, considering that CT loot will further reduce the demand for crafted items I don't really see any reason why should this "temporary" handicap be allowed to stay. Hell, I'd say they need to revert ingot recipes to 3x125 AND tweak every 2-star item to require 1 ingot/silk only. No reason for subpar gear to be costly now.
