Reason why DF people fail Titan

I DF Titan sometimes for fun (I know right?).

About 1/5 times I go, the DPS don't know to LB at heart. I've met a few Drg who didn't even know how to set LB yet. At Titan. How the heck did they beat everything else before? How was these even remotely possible?

So every time I go into DF to help out I ask at start if people have LB set and if Drk or Mnk know to use it at heart. Then people get really asinine with me. "Of course I know!" =_=

just an FYI, using LB on heart is not a universally agreed upon rule. I used LB on heart once and got bitched at because our dps was so high, it was wasted. So by trying to be responsible and safe, i got bitched at. instead of complaining about other people's play style, make an effort to communicate more.

Wasted LB on Titan...what were they expecting to use, Healer LB3? Everyone usually just dies right after it (next stomp normally, but if the heal has really bad timing anything else could do it). And for a finishing melee LB...it really doesn't matter if its 2 or 3...you save what...two or three of his attacks? If the DPS is high enough, that really shouldn't matter at all...

I play it by ear, really...depends on how we're doing when the second Jail goes down. If we looks like we'll be good, no LB. If I want to play it safe, LB. If we need it...LB.
And you can always tell the group "I'm a DRG, its normally my job to LB the Heart. You never said anything, so I'm going with what most other groups do"; sure, it'll make someone upset, but maybe they'll actually say something next time...

I did iterate that they didn't know how to set LB. I'm aware of DPS being more than enough in some groups that people nevermind it. This is not usually the case when I go into DF to help. I'm talking about guys genuinely not knowing they have a LB to use when they are DPS. At titan.

I don't hate them for it or anything, I go there to help. It just shocks me they made it all the way to titan without ever once setting an LB onto their action bar and needing to be taught.

Were they primarily DRG, or did they have other classes at 50?

Once you have done it enough you can get a feel for how long you have and figure out if LB is needed. It also depends on who gets hit with the gaols. If he gets dps both times and/or picks the top dps in the group there is a much higher chance it will be needed. Don't think I have ever needed it if healers got jailed.

I realize my story is about the story mode Titan because I just happened to do it on an alt, but I think it's relevant.

I was in a group for Titan normal and explaining the fight to them. Of course, I expected some wipes, but I repeatedly told them to stay out of the red circle around the outside of the field and it took them 3 deaths due to falling off to figure it out. The tank on the other hand repeatedly ran into the middle and took massive damage from Titan landing, dying twice from it. The tank also spammed Rage of Halone. Not comboing it, spamming it. The worst part is that we won. People can progress through training content without learning a thing and it shows at lvl 50.
