As a scholar I'd go for AF2 before upgrading your relic. As the Coil sch weapon is superior (granted much harder to get) so you'd be replacing the +1 at some point.

As a scholar I'd go for AF2 before upgrading your relic. As the Coil sch weapon is superior (granted much harder to get) so you'd be replacing the +1 at some point.

The chance of getting an Allagan SCH Book is around 11%, not to mention how much you're gimping yourself and your party as you work on clearing Coil if you don't have a +1 weapon. The AF+1 gives a minor upgrade, the weapon +1 gives a MAJOR upgrade (to throughput).

Go for the weapon.
