    Fine, here is my rebuttal for FFXIV: ARR is only add dungeons runs
    Patch 2.1 will include the following:
    Housing - Non Dungeon
    PvP - Non Dungeon
    Treasure Hunting - Non Dungeon
    Beastmen Dailies - Non Dungeon
    Extreme Primal - HNM, Not Dungeon
    New Primal - HNM, Not Dungeon

    Crystal Towers - Dungeon
    HM Dungeon - Dungeon
    New Dungeon - Dungeon

    Those are called FATEs in ARR. Open world content =/= only HNMs, and XI had more open world content and activities than ground kings, you could play XI and never touch ground kings ever in your career especially once Einherjar came out.
    I meant HNM in the same kind of way of ffxi. You know, camping for 12 hours with multiple linkshells, then struggling for the claim, then killing or wiping, other LS trying to make you wipe and THEN struggle with the loot/lot with competition ... yeah no thanks.

    Of course they're gonna release future expansions and updates for ARR like most MMORPGs - assuming the game's population remains stable for the next 2 years :P

    Agree,

    Some of you can say FATE grind is better than the "Fire party" in 1.0.
    but there are somethings I don't like about ARR:

    1.Maps are small,Sprint & teleport make it even worse,I feel I am running in a large room,not in a virtual world.
    2.No open world contents,dungeons & NMs.
    3.Everything is about Duty finder.
    4.Gears are easy to get & obsolete very fast.

    It's like WOW/COD, a fast-food game, everything is fast,busy & short.

    I can wait for the content updates,
    but the game design direction is...meh

    Don't forget the Global Summoning System they they are working on where the primals will be wandering the open world. Also non-dungeon.

    instead to ask feature that will bring nothing new, try to ask for new stuff, we do get treasure hunting in the 2.1 and i think it's a good idea, we need more activity different than pve/pvp grinding.
    This is true for absolutely everything in life and is not a valid justification to not have it.

    Poorly implemented things, such as fates, are just that, poorly implemented. Open world content does not =/=zergfest. pops/griefing/etc., are all elements of half thought out ideas that does not take in consideration of your playerbase and game population. I can think of a billion ways to make meaningful open world content and eliminate all of your feared "issues" with minimal checks and balances in place.


    One way would be to bring back challenging Guild Leve bosses. Another could be as simple as a farming or buying pop items from dungeons and trading them in open world to face off against rare bosses. SE has crafted a world with potential, but when you have people drowning out valid concerns none of it is put to good use.

    & SE removed the player bazaar, player repair etc from 1.0.
    I don't know why SE make ARR so simple & short.

    when people say dungeons they likely mean "instanced" content. You can go as literal as you want with the terminology but an instanced boss battle accessible via duty finder is not overworld content, which the OP explicitly mentions. Your rebuttal falls short because half of what you mentioned is either not end gaming content and the things that were are in fact instanced/non overworld content.
