melee dps buffs + bard nerf = cumulative effect too much?

Bard s Silence isn t necessary, and even bard s ballads are barely necessary. And really it s not harder to play any other class than it is to play Bard. Do you really feel that reppelling canons atacks type are sooooo hard to dodge that it makes it a balance issue between ranged and melee classes?

Bards are only a safe option in bad groups. And i agree with u that Bard is more idiot proof, not coz it s easier to play, but coz it means that Healers can get some MP back if they overheal too much, or if they have to raise a melee DPS who decided to stand still in red areas... and such things.

The FotM class right now is by far not Bard, most DPS would be bards if it was the case and it s not at all... so... A class that u could classify as FotM is PLD, most tanks are PLD, most groups only want PLD, they are best tanks, best interrupters...

But all those remarks are once again smelling jealousy, what could make ppl be so envious and jealous of bards? Is it coz you all try to PUG coil and don t have an FC to run it? Is it coz u fail to make ur name appear on top of the enmity list? Do you have bad raid leaders who won t let u join a group coz u are not a Bard? really... what s the deal

Inaccurate? Well they are opinions so Im not one to judge. Contridicting? Over half your post contradicts itself. At least you know the words are pretty jumbled. Discussion? Whats there to discuss ? Bard nerf confirmed. You seem to think its because of jealousy or personal reasons bard was nerfed. Theres no reason to have a discussion with you a bard, who feels you are being nerfed out of jealousy.

I think the point is that People who do coil whit good players and have experience in endgame do see that the bard actually dont need a nerf to its damage.
First it was all about that they could move and shoot. End dps output still show brd low in coil.
Then it was all about how many buff cd's they had, end dps still show brd low in coil.
Now its all about its utility, and still brd gets on lower half damage wise in coil.
So result is then that many players scream my real job are so hard and pugs dont want me, brd are faceroll couse they have feets and silence. Nerf brd, remove it, kill em and force every pug to take meeeee instead.

Then u can argue if this will fix the situation for struggeling classes or not. Me personaly see where Charas is comming from. but then again its not the first time or mmo iv seen this happend, and it will continue.

Edit; Reason Brd takes up two spots in some grps in coil is due to the fact that to many People use Fate up to lvl 50, buy the relic and jump in pure anger screming "give me coil loot"

Kinda true. My main is a DRG, I'm not the best DRG so I do have my hard times doing my best to dodge AoE mechanics.

Rolled a BRD after hearing all the story of how easy it is, and yeah.. all I have to do is press 12345 most of the time, and in Titan HM that I cleared yesterday for relic, I've only been hit once (Weigh of the Land) due to forgetting to spread out. And I was like, what a hell lot of diff in terms of dodging.

make Dragonfire Dive use MP. Only problem I see with adding MP to these skills would be having to repurpose them or increase their DPS for their now limited use

Either some utility like silence that utilize mana or mana shield (10% dmg reduction to party that drains 50-100MP/s or so?) Just some thoughts.

I realize we'll just have to wait and see, but...

With DRG and PGL buffs coming (10%?) AND a BRD nerf, I'm worried that the cumulative effect from both of these will result in BRDs really being outperformed badly
by other classes in their key role, which is DPS in this game.

Really? That is weird because Yoshi said that Bards are DPS and there is no place for full support class but IDK why I even waste time writing this, people wrote it 100 times already and some people still don't get it.

Yea, better nerf bard who is already the lowest dps, it will definitely change something. /Irony
Handless pugs will still take BRDs and now they will clear coil in 10 tries instead of 9 (because of lower dmg) and skilled players will still take 1 bard because they also have monk or their PLDs are capable of silencing. ))

Doesn't matter, have level 50 DRG.
