    Cannot see AoE while fighting big Mob

    Hiya

    Here is something annoying, I play on PC and when I fight tall and big monsters, the camera tends to go on the back of my caracter and look up to the face of the enemy. This way, I Cannot look on the ground the see the red attack AoE of the monster because the camera is looking into the sky. Even if I try to replace the camera down, because the monster is too big it always points up. I know you can guess with the monster animation but it is really annoying

    Is there something to do about that???

    Are you locking on? Either manually or through the auto-lock-on setting? If so, that's the problem. You can either stop locking on entirely and learn to live without it, or make sure you've got the lock on/off key bound to something convenient so you can turn it on and off as needed.

    Yes indeed i'm always locked on. So the camera movement are also locked on. When fighting against mob like that, i'm gonna try "unlocking", Good idea thx

    I believe there is an option in the character config that auto-locks. You might have that turned on and should probably disable it.

    We're aware that some of the camera behavior when locking onto a large enemy can be less than optimal, and we plan to adjust this sometime after patch 2.2.

    The Question to me is...why does anybody ever lock-on to any mob in this game at any time anyway O.o
    It limits your movement(can't walk into the mob), you can only strafe...the whole controls are just stupid while being locked-on the target. Not to mention there is literally zero reason to do it at any time...so yeah...they could just not fix it at all and I wouldn't care.

    Now...the camera not going back to it's initial distance after it close up cause of the surroundings or anything...that shit is messed up and that's gonna be fixed in 2.1...so yeah...they prioritize the right things at least.

    With all the respect you deserve, I really think that considering a problem of this importance after something totaly insignificant such as "a hairdresser" is unacceptable.
    The camera behavior is more then unconfortable, not only it zoom automaticaly in when you face a huge enemy or when you lock the said enemy, but it does also lock some players on auto-run when you try to fix the problem of the zooming in (target unlocked) I'm on of the concerned players.

    I am sorry but with an answer like that we're perfectly entitled to belive that the DEV team doesn't care about a very important problem impacting directly on the game confort and player abilities. This problem should be fixed during a quick emergency maintenance at least.

    I am assuming that they have a fairly large code team that's fractured into separate areas of focus, so I would be willing to bet that the character model designers/coders who did the heavy lifting on the hairdresser would have to take the time to get up to speed on the battle systems code.
