Mislooted items, is there a solutions?

Hey all! the other night I was running coil and we had the caster ring drop, I have a SMN who could use it but was running on my SCH at the time, what I didnt know is the group worked out beforehand that the other healer and the BLM were going to both greed on BLM items because the healers main was also BLM but was just filling in for a missed healer.

long story short, i won the greed roll and I got the ring I shouldn't of gotten! I would like to be able to transfer it to one of the proper recipients, I didn't expect to get it anyway, do you guys know if SE can help with this? Many other MMO's I have played have found ways to assist with these kind of issues, but after searching around on these forums, and on the in-game support stuff, I have found nothing! Can anyone tell me what (if anything) I can do to get this ring transferred to the correct person? Or am i stuck feeling bad and having a new ring?

The fix is to leave the instance when you accidentally roll. I've done that before due to confusion, and if you leave before everyone lots it forfeits your roll.

I'm really not sure why you can't pass after rolling, you could do that in XI.

I suppose that would of worked at the time and I should of thought of that solution at the time, but its a little late now, if i make that kind of mistake again at least I can just run out of the instance to avoid mislooting, but I already have the ring and would like to give it to a proper recipient.

I'm really not sure why you can't pass after rolling, you could do that in XI.

But yeah, XI does quite a lot that ARR should have out the box.

I'm not really one to say such things, but it really is silly that you can't change your mind from getting something to NOT getting something. Other way around makes sense, this doesn't.

Personally they should not care, I know I would not, caster loot is a dime a dozen anyway.

nobody made it out to be a really big deal, just a little annoyed kind of thing, its more that I feel terrible about it, even if it isn't that big of an issue, and would like the item to go to a proper recipient.

Ha I accidently won a maiming choker because apparently monks cant roll need on that even though it is a str stat item. Yes I did feel bad about that until the following week when the monk got the striking choker anyway.

Yeah quartermaster/masterloot, but tack that on to another basic MMO feature this game does not have.
