I'm sure there are more. I'm not sure if the abilities are technically instant death moves, but it seems like a lot of people are being one shot by them. The Hydra fight were I got one shotted out of the red killed me and monk in one shot.

Try playing The Secret World nightmare dungeons, tons of insta-death!
You can add all the primals, hard or normal, but they're hard enrages. If you can't beat the enrage you weren't going to kill it.
To the above guy, hydra and chimera do not have insta-death mechanics. Chimera does unavoidable, high AoE damage when Ram is empowered, enough to one shot a lot of people (but it is not an insta-death mechanic). I don't know what could possibly be considered insta-death on hydra unless you stood infront of him when you shouldn't, or got feared into a fire circle, but even then that isn't insta-death.

Careful with the term insta-death, tanks can survive the bees as well as everything Chimera and Hydra through out so it's not insta-death by definition.
Always remember the Silver Rule:
"Treat others as they treat you!" ...or something like that.
You are very confused with the definition of one shot mechanic.
you are only getting one shotted by high damage attack because you are a fresh 50 in full AF and failed to dodge them due to either lack of experience or "lag"
either way, battleping.

Batrall, Hydra, Chimera, Gogimera and the bees are not a one hit death. They're a high dmg hit, get more HP, you'll be fine. Better yet, learn the mechanics of the fight and don't get hit by it. Well, the bees are hard to avoid I'll admit if not killed fast enough..
I guess I just don't like feeling like I'm burdening the group... so I hate dying. Especially when it's due to the delay. I like learning and executing mechanics. But with this game, everything just feels random. Half the time I'm fine and half the time I'm dead. Even if it seems like I'm out of the red all of the time. Which may be in large part due to my poor connection to the servers. I'd try Battleping, but to be honest, I hate having to pay extra money to fix something SE should be fixing. Hopefully Yoshi-P wasn't lying about upping the connectivity in higher end content. Dying while leveling isn't a big deal as no one seems to mind wipes as much. Wipe one time in an end game dungeon and some people go crazy.
I'm pretty sure Bees are not instant death as I somehow survived one time ...
If you don't die while not evading the AOE, I think you can go on forever and manage to kill anything even if your DPS is abysmal.
Like Avesta killing HNM with bio on FFXI.
