Oh... like in most shity donate korean MMOs. How SE could made such system in 1.0- in game with full P2P system? I wonderIf i remember correctly not only have meld % chances increased across the board with most gear giving you two 100% free meld slots, but they've also removed the penalty of having equipment be destroyed by a failed meld attempt and thus you no longer have to start over when going for those quint melds.
Well to be fair the offset of this was that materia worked in a way that you weren't capped on what stats you could place on a piece of gear, if you wanted to throw 50+ STR on a pair of gloves you were free to (RNG of melds provided of course)
in the end it was a higher risk / reward ratio but one that wasn't favored as evidenced by the current system in place.
