    Melding materia- accumulating the chance

    Greetings. First materia can be melded with 100% chance. Next materia- chance lower. And so on. Can SE create a system of adding chance of successful melding with each melding fail (like in Tera)? Example:
    ---Now we have: if chance of melding is 20% you can make many tries and never meld the materia- it is a random
    --- What can be: with each fail to meld gear will gain additional melding bonus (5%, for example). So, after 1st fail next melding will be with chance 25%. If fail- next melding with 30% and so on. It means, that sooner or later melding will happen. But without this system melding can never happen because of the random

    I dissagree.. unless you actually want to pay me pack all the money I spended on lvll 5 materia Mending I would be agains that. And I guess hundreds of people too.

    nah thats not good, although id rather they fix their rng system. The thing is the 11% or w/e holds true in the long run. So you might get a lot of fails or a lot of successes but after 1000 times the success rate should be as presented, assuming the % is accurate and the rng is not bs.

    When you eventually upgrade from that particular 5 melded piece, do you also want your money back for that as well? Maybe they could refund the game time spent collecting the materia plus melding it? Surely you spent some amount on electricity to play the game, so a check to reimburse you for the power used while creating the 5 melded piece is in order.

    I for one like the OPs idea. You can still have streaks of bad luck, but there's bad luck prevention in place to keep you from being completely shafted, as often happens to people.

    I spended 4 Million for 1 single piece of armor. So I would hate if you can actually now get a system that gurantees you after like 20 trys that you can meld it with nearly 100% that is not ok.

    I don't care if the ygive out new Items and I need to upgrade.

    But I would not accept the fact that they will just add a system that gives you a sure meld for something that is normaly forbidden.. (Seeing the lore) the advanced melding is a forbiden art

    On another Note why not give everyone enough to and give everyone a full 5 piece materia Ilil 800 Item because hey you get it anyway don't worry buff will prevent you to spend to much money.

    I'd prefer if they just rewarded your streak of good luck instead of sympathising with bad luck. So maybe with each successful meld, there's a higher percentage on the next one, then maybe a 100% bonus for the fifth. So if you ever got lucky, really lucky, and got four in a row first time, the fifth would be guaranteed.

    They should keep the materia system as it is now.
    If you get increased chance for every fail you had, you will in the long run use less materia than you used before.
    If this would happen to lets say 200 players, well materia prices would go down eventually cause there isnt much to be melded yet and the market on materia is pretty much fluid right now.

    I hate to be "that guy" but well... here goes...

    Sadly I'd have to disagree with your idea on this one, the changes they've made to materia melding from the system's inception in 1.0 are already quite significant.

    If i remember correctly not only have meld % chances increased across the board with most gear giving you two 100% free meld slots, but they've also removed the penalty of having equipment be destroyed by a failed meld attempt and thus you no longer have to start over when going for those quint melds.

    If we compare that the new system seems quite forgiving if anything.
