sigh....you do know HQ ilvl70 shield has the INT caped? So no matter how I meld it, no matter how much gil I spend on it, it will always be less than everyone else due to the pure facts that the main stat cannot be increased above it Ilvl. This makes Coil weapon drop less than every other job including tanks.

You do know that the allagan 1h will have more WD due to having a higher ilv (95) which also means more int on the 1h (not more than the staff but more than it has now). INT capped or not that combo will be better.

Now you just complaining about all other classes being stronger. Which that part is can kind of see. But the differences will be marginal (just looked at the difference in INT on the shields and it is 3. 6 for i70 9 for i90). Comparing it to the +1 it will still be better. As I said before, you never know, the shield could be coming in the patch from extreme primals. Just wait and see.

Sigh....if MNKs were only getting half their weapons from Twintanis you would understand, but because it is not effecting you, you are arguing on something that does not make sense. You are fine with your job getting a normal ilvl95 weapon and you are fine with BLM getting a broken ilvl95 weapon. Extreme primals are not going to drop an ilvl95 shield, nor would the quest reward be an ilvl95 shield.....

Do you see now that you are making an imaginary opinion based on "My job is fine, his job is not, let me make his head explode with an argument that does not make sense"

note: all we ask for is that our Ilvl95 weapon to be equal to every other job, not a single point more or less. As it stands we are being gimped for no real reason aside from broken opinions and a broken weapon.

He said only weapons going to be i95. Not shields or armor. So yes there is a chance. And it's the same as using i70 HQ crafting gear over allagan. There are advantages and disadvantages. Not only that you are getting more defenses with the shield as well. As for your monk comment I don't even have the option of putting a shield on. I have a useless slot in general. Don't see me complaining.

No it is not the same....you are comparing secondary stats to main stats..sigh...tell me which Job uses crafted gear for BiS? i can tell you right now no one. Players used to do it versus Twintania at the beginning but not any more since everyone replaces HQ crafted gear with ilvl90 Myth & Allagan when it is possible because it is superior.

Main Stat > secondary stats to the point it is 1 INT = 5 DET = 6 SS. What you are saying right here, it is completely fine for BLM to have the lowest in game main stat for the sole reason that it is not effecting you. You are not providing a sane argument, you are providing a broken one. ilvl70 HQ =/= ilvl90 not in this game at least, ilvl90 is always better because of the main stat.

I'm not asking for BLM shield to be ilvl95 I'm asking for a drop that is suppose to be in Coil, but it is not for some reason unknown to you and me. Tanks gets their shield @ Turn 1 Ilvl90, wither that stays ilvl90 or becomes ilvl95 is not the point when BLMs only option is a crafted ilvl70 shield. Less main stats than Relic +1 and less main stats than any other job in the game.

This problem would have effected you if Twintania drops an ilvl70 MNK gloves but she does not, she drops you a complete weapon with full ilvl90 main stat, guess what does she drop for BLM? Broken ilvl90 with less main stat than any ilvl90 weapon in the game and definitely less than Relic +1.

If you were remotely fair you would have bothered to add up Ancient Buckler stats & BLM twintania drop, you would find out that total INT stats from both are equal to Relic +1, but without the shield, which is not in the game, Twintania drop is less than relic +1 in every possible way. However, it does not effect you or the other hundred bards who keeps nuking this thread and the other one, so why should you even bother to be sane and fair?

Lets just show him the stats so he can stop arguing like he understands what its like to have half a weapon. When u get a staff all your stats are on the staff like with your fist, and a shield can't be used. With 1 handed weapons they only have a portion of the stats on them, with shields meant to balance them out. Right now their is no balance shield for this weapon and even the ancient buckler still doesn't provide much. How many slots will the hq crafted shield give you for melding? and will it give you enough determination to make up for the lost 18 det and lower spell speed.

As we can clearly see currently +1 is still better then anc. shield + allag scept. And paring it with the shield that actually exist shows how much of a joke the allag sceptor actually is.

Not a huge differance but, I'm no monk; however if I was a blm and this were my choices the allag would be a clear winner for me. so as of right now our allag weapon is half complete and no i70 crafted shield could come close. However given the blm choices the allag/ancient combo still isn't really a great choice and would change BiS possibly but it could still be the weaker choice.
