Black Mage Allagan Sheild. (why hasn't it been seen)

I'm pretty sure most ppl assumed it comes from coil even though it has a different name. iLv90 and the allagan being the ancient civilization of this world, it's not even too farfetched!? though it has a totally different design too. but ya no one found it so far. And yes it seems to be the missing piece for the allagan scepter. And with patch 2.1 basicly giving no iLv90 content it might remain a mystery...

It is too farfetched because:
-It does not have ALLAGAN in the names, like all other Allagan pieces
-Has a COMPLETELY different design compared to all the other Allagan pieces, and especially the weapons/PLD shield.
-Was not in the original datamined info.
-Has not dropped for any of the multiple FCs clearing 1-5, and even more clearing 1-4.

Anyone who thinks those WHM/BLM shields drops in coil were just hopelessly delusional.

Well, it is on xivdb, but, I'm not sure if that is exactly what you were referring to.

But, as for some of the "mysterious items" on the Eorzea databse, I imagine a lot of them, if not all will be obtainable by 2.1, or by 2.2. They could be bugged in coil and not show up (even though they are not called allagan), they could be a ToM item in 2.1 or 2.2, they could show up in the next turn of coil (2.2), there could be some crazy-hidden quest that nobody has found, they could be from 1.0 and won't show up (I wouldn't now), or.... they could just not exist (but I find that unlikely). We're assuming the non-obtainable minions will show up somehow in 2.1, given the last letter from the producer, and the black mage barding was revealed as a subscription bonus.

If they don't add an ilv90 shield for BLM, then, wouldn't you just use the relic+1? So, I would expect them to be added in the next patch or two if they aren't available now, but until then.... I'd just go relic +1 (assuming BLM isn't your alt and details, other reasons, etc. etc....).

Allagan items were in the game data since back in beta.

Those shields have subsequently come in through one of the patches.

The 2 caster shields that have not been found are named Ancient, not Allagan.

I just think it's silly to have an Allagan weapon that doesn't really have potential to be better or equivalent with Relic +1 since you're stuck using an ilvl 70 offhand with it. Paladins have an Allagan shield and a +1 shield they can use with their Turn 5 weapon, but we have nothing. It seems pointless that we are stuck with this 1-hand weapon that can't be used in an optimal BiS set. Maybe it will be on par or slightly better than Relic +1 in the 2.1 patch with the right mix of gear, but we'll have to wait and see. I have high hopes that there will be a shield from Crystal Tower or Extreme Primals.

Makes BLM drops broken. The only Job that does not have ilvl95 weapon because one hand is broken without the shield.

Better meld that i70 HQ shield. Also you never know, could be coming from one of the extreme primals, or from the primal quest. Just wait it out and see.
