upping the tome limit per week and raising all allagan gear to ilvl95 would have been a better move. Getting BiS gear running things like AK / WP is a huge no-no.

Yeah I still think this would have been best, even if allagan was i95 it would have only been marginally better, if at all. But hey... at least I can be full i90 by Jan 1st and then relax and play some of my steam library while waiting for turn 6 in 2.2.
Might just unsub and save some cash for the winter sale!
Totally cool! Cause there will be like nothing at all to do in between right? Comparatively, look at the amount of content that you're already OK with paying for now?Yeah I still think this would have been best, even if allagan was i95 it would have only been marginally better, if at all. Now I'm wondering. If you guys are adding weapons that are going to be stronger than Relic Weapons, won't that defeat the purpose of all the story and work behind the quest of getting a relic weapon then making it +1. Even if you guys are going to keep expanding the threshold of relic weapon, why are you temporary adding a weapon that's stronger than the relic.
Look, I'm not complaining about the content that is being added in 2.1. I think it serves a great purpose and helps round out the existing content in 2.0 quite nicely. That content is meant for a large group of players, and I am just not one of those players. I'm not complaining that the content isn't for me either, I just don't find it compelling enough to stick around once my static has full i90 gear. We'll be ready for turn 6 and that is the content I am looking forward to.
Relic weapons are relatively casual weapons compared to the only other source of ilevel 90+ weaponry being the hardest content the game is sporting right now. I still can't find where it was stated explicitly, but the whole idea was to provide these iconic weapons that are achievable through casual progression (you'll eventually be able to DF even Chimera and Hydra, so the entire thing is something that you can quest for at your own pace). They are quite powerful in their own right, but it still makes some sense that the absolute best rewards should come from the hardest challenges. The devs want relic weapons to be relevant, but not superior to that which requires more consistent playtime that is dependent on other players' schedules meeting up with your own, it'll be a while yet before you can PUG Twintania I'd imagine. Now I'm wondering. I'll reiterate what I posted above, I could swear that the Development Team had stated this design decision openly in some interview or forum post, but I've been unable to find it unlike the other two design direction choices that I mentioned earlier.

You guys understand that even if you were to defeat turn 5 -> being lucky enougth to drop ur allagan weapon, you would never ever use it in coil... right? loosing 30+++ acc is something i couldn t afford myself. So yes u could probably use it during speedruns and myth capping... and look cool! but that s about it.
Im curious to know what yoshi and the all mighty dev team have to say about it.
Some weapons don't have accuracy on them, but the composite bow (im assuming your a BRD from you main class) has 26 accuracy on it. It looks like only DRG and MNK have no accuracy on their allagan weapons which they would have to make up for on their gear. You guys understand that even if you were to defeat turn 5 -> being lucky enougth to drop ur allagan weapon, you would never ever use it in coil... right? loosing 30+++ acc is something i couldn t afford myself.
