You're right. It's not -anyone's- job to teach someone else about a specific piece of content, but on the flip side it's also not anyone's responsibility to know how a specific piece of content works before even going into it.
I would leave that FC. You can join a FC that is recruiting for new coils groups. Many FC's who are starting up their groups do not require you to have experience because the whole group is new.

Don't let your FC determine whether you play the content. I was in a FC that didn't have room for my BF and I so we went out and got our own pugs together and have been running together ever since.

Failing costs the party gil in form of both food and repairs. So you want them to waste both their time and gil on people who do not know the fight? There are people out there not asking for experienced people and if your gear is good they might do exceptions if you are honest to them about it. Trust me, most of the community is not hearthless jerks as you think.

I agree. My FC is putting together video tutorials for new players with step by step explanations and strategies. We setup new raids for newcomers and they are clearing stuff right off the bat.

However, you can't expect your FC to put you into an established static and carry you through and/or personally teach you. Some things have to be done yourself. The FC should only provide you the information for you to execute.

Personally i dont lie. My first coil i joined a practice one, then i still didnt feel ready for it, and i planned to make a practice only group myself. i eventually beat t1 and joined a ls group, and i went in to tackle ads for the first time, and leader asked if everyone was experienced, i flat out said im new, then he explained some rot stuff and numbered everyone but i was honest and said i didnt get it at all. But i got told to just heal, so at least my role was settled and i didnt have to worry about anything anymore, and it felt good having that all out in the open and we almost downed him in just a few tries.

I've thought about leaving a few times, but the guild leaders are people I would call friends so it's a bit of a difficult thing to do.

Not to mention pretty much every FC on Behemoth demands you have experience in it and don't want to let you into their groups so they don't have to explain how they handle each fight. PUG's are unfortunately the same.

Lie to get in , wipe the group ... QQ. Its the only way to really get experiance in coil now cause there in no Coil in the DF.
Only noobs would use the DF Coil just simply to get a feel for it . So it doesnt make sence not to have it there.
