tired of the bots

tired of seeing farming bots and reporting them and nothing happening i have reported countless bots and i have not got a response from a single ticket sense october 10th. have they just simply given up on trying to combat the bots? today for example i reported two bots 8 hours ago and they are still there this is pitiful.

We're they both on the pillar near DD, chocobos out, and busy status on? Guy/girl combo? We can't name and shame, but I have a feeling I know exactly who you're talking about.

And if you doi mean "them", they've been botting pretty much since the 2.0 servers went live. I wouldn't expect to see them vanish anytime soon. One even replied while in town once, saying they get reported all day but nothing ever happens, while tossing out the obligatory "u mad" and such.

SE needs to add something like the Goblin Bounty Hunters from FFXI which were added specifically to target fishing bots - although doing so would also negatively affect legitimate BTNs just trying to harvest materials like they're supposed to. Unfortunately there's no quick and easy fix to this.

those were pritty bad when they got put in and they came and killed you when your party was in a fight but its not the gathering bots im talking about those teleport anyways im talking about the kill farming bots

i think they could fix this by making it where busy doesn't block trades

I have got a friend that fit the description, but he didn't use the bot though, he used in-game macro to do that. I don't see anything wrong with what he did tho, basically he just set up the macro and he went back to his work and come back every 20 minutes or so to summon the chocobo.

If you have a maxed arcanist dump a shadow flare on the spawn location and let them finish the kill off for you. Good way to leech off their harvest and all you have to do is place a aoe every 30 seconds

i doubt it theres no way you can make a macro to do that with only 15 lines. your friend is a liar. but lets pretend that perhaps he can.

Here is Square Enix's Botting policy in the EULA: "2.1 Cheating and Botting. You may not create or use any unauthorized cheats,bots, automation software, hacks, mods or any other unauthorized software or hardware designed to modify the Game and gameplay. In addition, you may not take advantage of game system bugs and exploits during gameplay."

so even if he is using the ingame macro system to do that its actually still not allowed.

if there is a way to do a macro like that with 15 lines, please tell us what he is doing...seems kinda impossible.
