Lightning Fates are a disgrace to the series, and a broken promise? SPOILERS

THIS FATE IS TERRIBLE.

Basically, there is almost no story involved, and the reason why Lightning is ultimately revealed to be here, is just stupid. She basically comes to Eorzea, says 'Hello', then 'Goodbye', her appearence in FF14 doesn't affect the story in FF14 and it doesn't add anything to FF13 either, basically making it POINTLESS.

If you don't like it, then do something different there are many ppl that like the story, and have enjoyed this fate. plus the items you can get from it!

I am not assuming, I played the game. The default option to the battle system is Auto-battle. You hit. The characters do all the moves they are allowed to do with the ATB. Stagger the enemy and kill it. You might have to change once or twice in each fight to get stagger faster, but other than that you hit X and win.

There should be more to a battle system than that.

Summons were underpowered they weren't worth using.

If you played the game then you should be agreeing that it took little effort to win.

so did the previous FF titles, except the XII ( no buttons)
but in ffxiii you had to switch roles and auto attacks where shit, the char didn't use the best abilities.

Yes but you could choose how you could win in the other games, then 13 gives you little choice on how you can win.

All the people do who say it was successful makes me wonder if you ever played a Final Fantasy games before 13. Cause it's definitely not one of them.

I have a feeling that all this hate for FF13 and its ilk will just be moved to FF15... and I can't wait. Hate on, haters, hate right on.
As for this particular topic, I thought it was cool to see Lightning in this game, even if it wasn't the most EPIC STORYTELLING EVAR.
And yes I enjoyed 13.
