which is why I used the term ALMOSTI played the 1 with cecil. The covor had a drg on it i think it was in a combo pack with chrono trigger. I playyed that ff for 3 hours and played chrono trigger for 4 days
And no it wasn't due to the arist who drew dragonball z I liked the time travel aspect.

You mean like the PS3 FFXIV and the FFXIII Versus? The SE finance reports always list atleast project names for all the teams that are actively working on a project.
The above is usually true, but not all the time. Companies will take a shot and finance a project that may or may not come to fruition. Think of it like hiring a company to make a pilot for you. If you don't pick it up, no biggie. If you do pick it up, then it qualifies as one of your projects and you'll start seeing it in media and hear about it at shareholder meetings.
If game didn't exist and Square had no knowledge, I am sure they would have given a statement by now or at the very least, taking GRIM's footage off Youtube as it would be an IP violation.
In all reality, this is a non-story. We all know SE aren't run by geniuses anymore, but they still have a lot of talent in the ranks. Kinda like the New York Giants.

Not a new trend for me, I've hated it since it was originally released. It was difficult for me to get into the story, and I couldn't connect with the characters. I developed no emotional attachments to them like I do in other FF games. I wasn't sad at all when Aeris died, just shocked. And if you don't care about the characters, you don't care about the story or the game. It was a chore to even finish it.
My favorite in the entire series was FFVI. I must have played it start to finish at least 20 times.

I don't hate VII. It was pretty good. I particularly enjoyed Crisis Core. I just hate this messianic game worship that some people have over FFVII, usually youngsters whose first FF game was VII and whose first console was the PSX. Nothing against them, but a lot of them tend to be closed-minded and immature. Not unlike a certain person in this very thread...

I guess they were contracted by SE to work on a FF esque project before SE pulled out? well this is what they had to say:
Here is the tech demo for the game in subject: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YzdzYbEWOg
I just saw it for the first time and tbh it looks horrible imo.
looking at the demo and the engine compared to ffxiv... wow... no wonder things are as they are now

My first FF was FFIX, which is my fave. FFVIII came after that, which the characters and setting seemed more like a futuristic world. After that is around the time The Spirits Within came out, so after playing FFVIII, Spirits Within wasn't all too different, just didn't strike me as a Final Fantasy.
From then on I played FFX, then bought Dawn of Souls, FFI-FFII, and yada yada yada...
