The dragoon on my coil group always parse around 260, the problem seems to be that he know how to play. I without blood for blood parse 190 in my best performances ='(I do not agree with these balance updates at all, boost monk which is already top dps in the game and nerf the dps of the lowest dps class in the game because too many casuals think bard is taken over their dragoon because bard has a higher dps? No bard is taken over your crappy dragoon because we are a supporter not because of our dps. Casuals are a plague to the game, QQ and whine about nerfing something they do not understand.
As for parsers I still believe they are wrong, but again in terms of dps in coil I fall somewhere in 2nd or 3rd of the 4 dps as a bard with ofcourse out highest dps at all times being a monk usually around 220.

Was that parse for turn 1 only? Because if so that fight is already scewed when literally all you are doing for the entirety of the fight is burning the boss and not caring about any other mechanic, because with that kind of dps if you're worrying mechanics there's something wrong. I use the same parser but one day it started to show different the information and different numbers, I never parsed more that 220 or 230 (I think ) also my information is from T2 where the people say that is mandatory to have 2 bards. I always lose a lot of dps singing in the ADS fight. (we are not so geared and the whm run out of MP at the middle of the fight ) also the parser take all the turn as the same fight so I think that is counting the death time too. But the fact is that in the same fight our dragoon have 60+ dpsWell a little looking, and 190 sounds like you are playing ballad too early. http://i.imgur.com/FrKUcfu.jpg
Does it matter? The point is they are a dps class not a support class, so what is the point in nerfing damage. You said yourself you do not even need songs and I agree, they are just a bonus.

Whm run out of mana durring the boss phase? It's gotta be a nightmare to worry about mana/rot/silence. I can understand keeping up ballad between trash up to the boss.

I just leveled my lancer to 34 today to get blood for blood and I absolutely hated playing melee. If they take away lancer's cross skills...
Even worse if they give us another class's cross skill and now we have to go level another class to 34! not everyone has got the time in the world to level every class. I chose an archer because I hated melee just how many melee do I need to level to enjoy archer?! PUG and LNC is enough already. I hope they won't be giving archer another melee's cross skill to replace lancer's!
Balance the game all you want but don't waste our time!!I'd rather have a pure dmg nerf if it's really needed!
IF you are giving us another class's cross skill and take away LNC's ...please offer the option to convert a 34 LNC to 34 of whatever the new class is. No more leveling please. Thank you!

				IF they remove BfB or IR, I think that will be them taking the easy way out on toning Bards down. The reason why Bards are considered to have a little bit too much DPS for a class that also has such good utility is....wait for it......they're also the most mobile class in the game by leaps and bounds! Everyone else has their dps screwed up by having to constantly re-position and avoid damage zones: Dragoons, Monks, Black Mages, and to a smaller degree even Summoners; Bards get to go full burn 100% of the time, unless there are specific reasons that make it so you cannot attack. THAT is what should have been toned down, but people would rage perhaps even harder about that, so IDK.

 
			
			
				Seems like a removing a DPS cooldown would only exacerbate the complaints of the "I'm playing a bard because there's no ranger" crowd even further and maybe even the "Bard2ez4me" crowd too. If the bard is a DPS class and its DPS in a vacuum is acceptable, leave it alone.
The problem if anything seems to be stacking multiple bards to dramatically increase utility... So why not nerf bard's stackability?
I started out this game playing DRG all the way up to 50 and gear that job out. Later on I switched to BRD because I am more partial to ranged characters and I enjoy playing support classes more I think a lot of people are failing to realize that BRD is intended to be just that a SUPPORT class and not suppose to be doing the most dmg. From what I've seen out of my own FC SMN, BLM, and DRG do much more dmg with half the gear of a BRD. I know I will get a lot "well you're just bad at this or that" responses. It may just be that I am remembering how BRD use to play on FFXI but I am hoping later on down the line that BRD becomes more support centered such as the NPC who gives you the BRD quests pumping out a regen song during the lvl 50 quest.
One other little thing everyone just needs to chill and wait till the actual patch and see what happens before everyone starts throwing a fit about changes.

				I don't mind losing Invigorate or B4B, but at least remove the 20% dmg penalty from Paeon to actually give some situational use to that song.
