Allagan Gear getting buffed to ilvl95.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm serious split on this.

When I first got to the Endgame, it was seriously all about WHO you knew. 90% of your endgame was you waiting for a party and barely knowing the best way to farm and so forth. It took me little less than a month to hit 50, so you can imagine what the endgame was like at the time. And those who are seriously geared right now certainly remember that. It was a little rough to do anything. Lots of CM and Prae, over... and over... and over. The mental grind alone was enough to satisfy you once you obtained your goal of full Darklight gear.

Once I finally found the Relic quest line, it took forever to find a party to do anything. Especially for AK. Elitests would tell you to piss off 'cause you weren't geared enough for the Demon Wall and they didn't want to waste their time Mytho Farming on you since AK was the only place to really farm Mythos at the time. It took me about 2 weeks to FINALLY get my Relic. JUST My relic! My DPS was suffering at the time so I decided to get my Mytho Ring to complete my Darklight gear, seeing as I could not get another Item Level 70 ring that DIDN'T break my wallet at the time. So once I DID get my Relic, I had to farm 3 full weeks to get my +1. So a little over a MONTH to get the BEST weapon in the game? I think that's 100% fair.

As for coil. I work at GameStop. It's Holiday. Need I say more? I've only been in coil ONCE. After obtaining all of my DL gear, Mytho Ring AND +1 for my Bard, my FC had a Coil group that was missing a Bard. NEVER did Coil before, and we one shot through to turn 4. I did perfectly fine. The problem is, my schedule is so wonky, I can never do coil on a regular basis with people that plan that stuff ahead of time. I just happened to be on at the right time. Managed to get ONE Coil peice... a Bracelet. Woot.

My luck, is absolute crap. Wish I could use a much, MUCH stronger word, but I don't wanna offend anymore, nor do i wanna be banned. Farming Ifrit for that Ifrit's Bow, which is where 90% of my endgame started (complete waste of my time and life), an Ifrit's Bow FINALLY dropped at kill 35. There was another bard in the party. Enough said. Needless to say, I finally got the bow when I stopped giving a hoot about farming, and was just helping a friend... around kill 45.

However... i can see how EVERYBODY having a +1 can make you, personally, feel... not so "elite." However... The Allagan weapons do have swapped stats. The top stats (like the Dex and Vit on the bow) stay the same as your +1 Relic; but the bottom stats (Acc and Skill speed) swap, basically. So depending on how YOU Want to build yourself, you have options!

Personally, I don't care much for Allagan 'cause I can't ever do coil as I mentioned earlier. I'm just biding my time while it takes over THREE MONTHS to farm the required mythos to get all of my Mytho gear... which looks a HELL OF A LOT sexier on my Miqo'te Bard, THANK YOU.

If ANYTHING... it's a bit... cheap... that there are TWO weekly methoods to get Item Level 90 gear. Yes, Coil is super hard in most cases, you gotta have great communication and 9 out of 10 people will REFUSE you for not having a VoIP program. Kinda leaves PS3 users without a pot to piss in. *Raises hand up as a PS3 User.* Though I do have TeamSpeak on my phone. I had to PAY for that... Hmmm... But to THOSE who DO have the time to Farm Mythos, Run Coil and be LUCKY... they get Level 90 gear, TWICE as fast, if not FASTER. Lets see here... THREE weeks to farm for Mytho Chest or Legs... ONE week if you're lucky enough to loot the damn thing. AGAIN... My luck sucks.... words-I-can't-say!

Like I said... I'm split. Part of me is "don't fix something that isn't broken." While the other part is "Yeah, it would be nice to have something else at the end of the rainbow." However... I am more to the "Don't fix something that isn't broken!" 'Cause really... I know someone who's got ALL Item level 90 gear. 3 months after launch? That's complete crap. 'Cause at the current 300 Mytho Cap, just on Mythos alone, it'll take you THREE MONTHS just to get your ARMOR (Head/Chest/Gloves/Legs/Boots) and that DOESN'T include Belt and Accessories. Soooo.... where's the problem and leaving Mytho the best gear?

I've ranted enough.
