Allagan Gear getting buffed to ilvl95.

I'm all for more and equal options. Allagan being equal to myth gear provided people who couldn't or didn't want to raid a progression path. Depending on how much they buff Allagan with the iLvl change they could cause major problems. If Allagan is a little better than stuff you can grind out over time, that won't be as much of an issue and keeps both camps happy. Hardcore raiders get the best gear and people who don't want to raid get gear that is say 1 primary stat lower.

Sorry but people who rock level 90 content should be far ahead of people who run lv.55 content a few times a week. if you dont want to do coil but you want ilvl.90 gear, there should be multiple ways to obtain it, but equally as difficult. If you can get the best gear from doing nothing, then what would be the point? What would you use this new shiny stuff for? to do the same lv.55 content a few seconds faster? sounds like a very interesting and long lasting game to me.

and then people seriously complain that they cant lv.90 multiple job with myths at the same time. literally want to max out every single job by running wanderer's palace in a short amount of time?? really??

As someone pointed out this could be just for the Allagan Weapons not the Gear. Will Post more later on Which.

On a related note, we will be increasing the item level of the Allagan gear from ilvl 90 to ilvl 95

Yes, really. AF Class armor should always be the best gear in the game. And it should be astronomically harder to acquire. Think World Of Warcraft Tier Gear, Tier 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.... When I quit wow we were at Tier 8.5 and it was the BEST gear you could have. But you couldn't farm tokens for it.

Then why does the 45/50 AF gear become quickly useless after running WP or AK a few times?

I was quite happy farming myth pieces knowing they were top end. Now if I want top end gear I'm FORCED to run coil wich I have no interest in doing. Way to drop the ball yet again yoshi, instead of giving us more options to gear up, your forcing us into a single,crappy,broken rng raid if we want good gear.

Sorry but Top End gear was never Relic gear Alone it is a mix of Relic And Allagan.

I'd be fine if they just removed allagan weapons and added a drop from Twintania that improved your relic. Though that'd be a waste of the allagan model.

I don't mind difficulty. I mind the loot not having any real background. Especially the weapon.

I have a relic+1 for my MNK and I would rather have the Allagan.

OMG, people complaining that Coil drops are as good as AF2 need to chillax. For one thing, to get the full AF2 set you need to cap out mythos for months. Secondly, there are many people who can't get groups for Coil because the Coil community has become a bunch of elitists that only take players who have beaten it before. Well how are we supposed to beat it if we can never get groups? See how logic fails here? Why would you remove the alternative to blowing hours trying to get into a group that doesn't mind taking a new coil runner with them and still win?

What bothers me is that many people like me have yet to be able to clear Turn 1 decided to get AF2 because it was on par with Allagan. Just took longer to get than Allagan gear.

If they "Do" change all Allagan gear to ilv95 not just a weapon I would be ok with that. I have 4 pieces of relic and next week going to buy the body even if change is going to happen. I'm not going to sit around and not get relic gear because Allagan is better. The better gear you have for Coils the Easier it becomes. So don't let A change stop you from gearing in Relic. And if your having a problem with T1 find a new group.

Like I said getting Relic gear is not a waste. The more you have the easier coils becomes. Unless you have some mad luck then don't expect to cap out in coils gear any time soon.

Guys there also upgrading myth gear...go back and read the post yoshi made on the fourm. He said myth gear will equal allagan gear because he wants everyone to have a chance.

then you have gear just as good as the coil gear.. but you have 0 endgame experience and youre still bad, then what? beginner coil groups gather all the time. plus you could always make your own. But to say that you shouldn't have to do hard content to get the best gear because you are too soft to learn how to do it is ridiculous and detrimental to the health of the game. What happens when ilvl110 gear comes out and you have to do content harder than coil? are you going to cry that you cant obtain it from WP? If you didnt take part in coil and learn the gameplay lessons it taught you, its unlikely you can handle content after it.

What is it you play for? Is it to tackle content? or do you seriously play just to run WP? people seem to be afraid of ilvl55 content not being able to produce top-tier armor, and its ridiculous. Has anyone ever heard of a nascar driver too afraid to drive over 65 winning a race?
