Actually at this point yes delay CT and or the patch 1 more week and get it in properly allow FC to do what FC want to do. Many have a distaste for Duty Finder and have from the getgo this is just more SE crap on not listening to a vast majority of there playerbase. Need I remind people of the roaming HNM/Open world topic they so diligently swept under the rug.

But seriously, this is potentially a disappointment. Even with gear checks pugging Coil is a... pain.
However my main fear now is that this raid isn't going to have any fun and difficult mechanics due to the emphasis on pugging. Instead I get the feeling that the complexity of the raid mechanics will be at the same level as CM, don't get me wrong I enjoyed CM, but it's not the kind of thing I would want to do over and over again for ilvl 80 gear.
I want the challenge to be in the fight, not in the managing of 16 loose cannons.

All that being said however, I haven't tried the content and maybe what Yoshi said wasn't clear, or we severely misinterpreted it. Coil offered some interesting fights so I know SE has the capability to make CT fun. I tend to look at things from a negative perspective so hopefully my gut feeling is wrong

It is going to suck for the ILevel 55 people, because what is going to happen is the relic/darklight/allegan group will just bail on them. I know I will. I will not play with a subpar geared pug. Better to have the cooldown then waste an hour with undergeared people who are not on voice chat.

Well, Crystal Tower was confirmed for i55, if it level synchs to that, iL55 players will effectively be the most geared for Crystal Tower, haha.

Here's what I will do: queue up for with 3 parties from my FC at same time. If we get in, good. If not then we leave, eat the penalty and do extreme primal for fun.

The only ones that will actually lose time now will be the the pugs that I dodged, which in turn will go on the forum to rage about how broken the duty finder is, which in turn will convince the dev team to remove CT from DF. If that happen, then more FC and community interaction for every server!

Win-win for everyone in the long run.

You are right it is my opinion. And the opinion of EVERY endgame guild in the game.

You need to learn what a mmo is about.

An MMO is about being part of a world. Taking on adventures with people etc. At no point does it mean taking on adventures with only people in your specific group.
I remember many times in other games i grouped with strangers to take on end game content. FFXI for instance, i used to join up with 2 other linkshells to do Dynamis.
In WoW i have joined up with other guilds to raid Stormwind in PVP. So what was your point again?

The funny thing is? It should be reversed, but that is why they delayed CT as is, to make it DFable so what better way than make it ONLY possible with random DF people and not premade like every other activity in this game currently? In 2.2 there will definitely be zero reason to do it with a premade group unless they update CT then since 2.2 is a major patch which means 3 months after 2.1 lands which 2.2 as we know is a coil update. So 4-5 months from now it'll be virtually useless to go into with your FC.

Joining a pug will not do that at all. IN XI yes in earlier days we did that too before we had enough people to run it with just our guild. But you know what it was a group, we did it every week twice a week.

THAT IS WHAT WE WANT. We do not want to be forced to party with complete strangers, we want to option to form groups with friends. Form allys with people we see everyday. Play with people we know. If I get put in a party with players from Excalabur or another server guess what I will probably never get to play with them again in que or at least very rare chance. This will do nothing to better the community.
