Which brings us to around when 2.2 is supposed to be released. 2.2 includes the next and more difficult stage of coil. This will likely include another tier of gear, making it so that myth and allagan are no longer the best gear.
You guys should do what i did.
I cancelled my account and moved on.
This game Will NEVER have a place for hardcore gamers.
I'm sorry for Square, this game will not last them the years FFXI have lasted
FFXI lasted because of the Hardcore content, the time sinks in some things and the dedication of players wanting to do the challenging content,
This game at the most will last 1-2 years, because of that Easy content that everybody can do and the Ridiculous cap the game has on that same content.
The casual players that play this game will leave as soon Elder scrolls online is released.
Because that's what they do, they buy a game play it for 3-4 months while a new mmorpg is released and leave.
i see a lot of people here claiming that they're "hardcore". its cute
Something seems connected with the bolded statements there...You guys should do what i did.

I had a response to this, but I accidentally closed the reply box, so I don't really feel like redoing that. I'll just say things may not be as literal as you think they are. "Best" can be categorized, it does not have to be exclusive to a single thing (or in this case, set of items). It could be possible they want you to get gear from tomes, of which you also obtain through Coil, as part of the "best" setup. Or it could be possible that it's a statement referring mostly to the future, as the current setup is either temporarily going to be this way (e.g. just during launch patch) or it was an oversight for whatever reason. None of us know, which is why I say to not take things too literally simply for the sake of argument. The problem is when one option is significantly easier, and open to everyone, and those people are then rewarded with the "same" gear as the people going through coils. Aside from saying, hey we're in coils, what point is there? You get back in town and then see everyone else in the gear you're wearing, that they earned through WP. What you're saying would be true if coil gear was truely BiS, but it really isn't.
Just using tank gear as an example, the alagan/myth gear is the exact same, except parry, and accuracy are switched on some of them. So to get "BiS" is getting a combination that gives you the most parry possible while still remaining at/over the soft-cap on accuracy. The defense/vit etc are all the same.
Again, the main point of this thread is that Yoshi said he wants the best gear in the game to be exclusive to the hardest ingame dungeon at any time, which at this moment, is coils. But then in another post, says they want everyone, even casual players to be able to access the i90 gear, which is on par with the coils gear. So these are very contradicting statements, and I'd really like a dev update about it.
*yes, that top statement is intended to be a truthful irony with that last sentence*

Ironically, with Coil lockout system and RNG, it may be faster to get your AF gear.I'm trying to say that your rewards for your efforts or farming coil are right here in front of you. while people who can't or won't farm coil will have to wait till they can get similar to coil gear. in time - many will not get full myth even when the new coil turns arrive.
So casual friendly that most casuals haven't even beaten Titan yet, let alone entered Coil.
Yeah, it makes sense.
Challenging content is great, but there needs to be incentive to run bosses multiple times. Would you clear challenging bosses for hours each week if they rewarded you with nothing in return?
Are you a child needing candy to play ball?
Oh wait... children don't do that. Needing "material" incentive to play a game... pfft.
MMORPG players these days![]()
