i agree with SOLOING lvl up for the class, like a WoW system, the BIG problem with FFXI you need lvl speciallyclass if you wanna receive invite for lvl up party, sometimes is ridiculous waiting for hours for lvl up party
in WoW you level alone or group, but endgame is in big group and raid bosses really are more hard that HNM

Here is a valid question, why insult me for having a different opinion, or way of thinking? Just because I see things differently doesn't mean i do not understand things. I do not insult a person for their way of thinking, and I have never once took aperson post count and use it to insult someone.

As far as I'm concern OP had no reason to start a rant. As no one is hating him for soloing. a50 like count should be proof of that. But more importently no one cares. If someone is rude ignore them I've been told this many times, when I try to get ppl to understand me. (which they do not nor wish to.)

Again... you cannot debate any subject correctly because you run off of emotions. Do you not understand that it's different than making intelligent arguments? Where you actually use your brain and rationally think through your counter points rather than quickly respond to hot button topics that insult your way of thinking? If someone is being venomous, you already win the debate by not responding, but that is an intellectual decision. Something you clearly cannot take control of.

Comes down to this: Whether to solo or not, it is a personal choice. If the developers are smart, they will develop a majority of the content for the majority of the player base.

Because they are physically limited by human capabilities, they are only able to produce a certain quantity of content. If a majority of the players play solo and a minority play group, one can assume the developers will likely create a majority of the content for solo players and a minority of the content for group players.

Irregard of all personal feelings, this is what drives development. The reality is, not everyone purely plays entirely within a group or entirely alone. So one can assume development will have some mix of the two. It then becomes a decision on what type of content to offer to solo players and group players.

I don't understand the OP's point or if there even is one... and I skipped through most of this thread, but arguing anything other than the type of content offered to each player base seems like the only tangible object to even be debated.

i like to solo i dont see anything wrong with it.
instead of reading 43 pages of peoples arguing and who is doing what wrong, i figured i too would just drop my 2 cents.
I solo alot because i enjoy my character. soloing can be peaceful, rewarding in a few ways over grouping, and if you RP (i kinda sorta do, just not majorly) then soloing allows you time to really immerse yourself with your character, which is what works for me.
i also solo because i enjoy the game updates, the new story lines, level increases, theres alot to playing an MMO behind grouping.
i however, do not go out of my way to avoid grouping, as far as im concerned im just playing with more ingame NPCs which would probably happen in my guys world anyway. if i need a group or if im bored then im all for it.

the problem at hand is that since FFXIV implemented the solo to max lvl idea.....now who is going to party?
whats need to change in order for ppl to joing partys and kill stuff?

improved LFP? because a static party isnt always an option , better SP /hr? Gear? Mats?

in FFXI now , soloing is an option ,but party is the best XP/ratio (and fun imo), FFXI is the last mmorpg that enforces party play to level ....

in WoW/Rift/... u can solo to max level , howerver ,if u party (dungeons) u get some nice xp , plus items to help u leveling /PvP

in FFXIV ..........?

works for many people with jobs but want to get those extra 10 levels/uber gear over the weekend in groups or dungeons.
the people who have more free time are the ones who dont have as many credit cards to pay for video games.

I do not actually type with my emotion. You guys just think I do, if you got to know me you can tell the difference. And I am not here to debate or argue. I do not care if Anyone solos (as in joining in/forming parties). I just care how they express it as I dislike people who go out of their way to be rude/ insult people. If I saw someone insult the OP, I would stick up for him. Unless he was rude first. If you go about/ write thing positively people will not fight with you so much. In my opinion the OP was very nagative tward grouping up and it shows. And maybe should try to understand the "grouper" side first befor ranting.

And also playing isn't just doing content. You play a game just be logging turning it on or participating in it.

I also do not make it my mission to put people on my ignore list. I only will do so in extreme situations. The reason being is i find it petty to put ppl on ignore for simply not agreeing on something. Or because they see things differently then I do.

I solo seeing that I work such irregular hours that I don't have a steady group of people I run into in-game. The friends that came with me to XIV jumped ship, some waiting on Old Republic, some going back to WoW while another one just went back to her high level character in FFXI. It's hard meeting people when you are in a situation like that.

Either way, I don't mind it much, but it does make me miss story-based questing from WoW, as doing the leves over and over with some behest sprinkled on top is just kinda repetitive.

Pretty much forums breing out the worst in people. Instand of communitcating or socilizing people just debate/ fight. I try to never judge people by their posts. And will try to talk to them about how to better word things so either not causing uneeded drama, but so no one is misunderstanding them. Its a habit :P (used to proof read alot for my schools newspaper)
