Answer this question:

Can you log out, log into a second character on your account and befriend your main character? If the answer is no, it's clearly an exploit to get around a limitation imposed by the company

The fact you have to do very specific steps in order to do it is a nono to do. Would you get banned? Maybe, maybe not, EULA/ToS states they can ban you if they just feel like it, so it is grounds for banning but whether they do it or not is TBD.

You maybe right but it would do no harm to get it confirmed either way and if it is a sort of exploit then we have brought it to there attention to fix,though not to sure what will happen to the players that have actually done it and are using this umm technique
