Too bad SE is trying to make money. If SE go by your logic and just tell people "if you don't like, don't play!" instead of taking their feedback and applying changes and fixes... I'm not sure if this game will live long. Not saying I support every single complaint on this forum, but people that say "if you don't like, don't play!" always make me laugh...
It's better that people voice what they don't like than just leave the game quietly. It's more healthy for SE, for the game, and for the community in the long run...

Trolls aside there are plenty of people that dislike parts of FFXIV, but don't dislike the entire game. Is that such a strange concept? Is it so weird that some people want to see FFXIV do well? Is it weird that people see that there's potential in FFXIV and they want it realised?

FFXIV is not an all or nothing package. People that dislike everything are nothing more than trolls and people that consider the game perfect and SE flawless are just as bad (or even worse since their subs don't tend to run out, so they're around for a while :P). There are however plenty people in between that see FFXIV has flaws, that SE has flaws or simply want to suggest stuff they'd like to see changed. Just because someone is complaining about FF does not mean they hate it. Just because somebody points out that FF has flaws does not mean they want to see it crash and burn. Just because someone might have a more realistic outlook on FF then some of the white knights here does not make them a doomsayer.

That has nothing to do with what I said. This thread is telling people to just leave the game instead of voicing their concerns. But people shouldn't just "shut up and leave" As you claim they should. They should complain in the forums and then SE can decide to which complaints they listen and to which they don't.

I didn't play WoW but if Blizzard did lose so many subscriptions for listening to their customers as you claim they did, then maybe they took the wrong decisions. But it's their fault for taking the wrong ideas out of their player base. If you tell everyone to shut up, it will also shut up the good ideas the players can offer.

A lot people do leave. At the Same time people see this game got a chance for succeeding and people will complain about it. With the hope they will listen and see the problems, Why people leave and fixed it. If square do not make the money, It bad for there customers and them also.
For a example: a lot companies are moving there customer service people you talk to back to the usa for usa customers from all the complaints, and people not buying there products, and it starting to get better slowly, But left the rest for there employees like it should be.
