I'd love to hear from them too. Could you imagine somebody being banned because they added themselves to their friends list?![]()

yeah would be a good idea could we please get a response on this,I don't want to get into trouble for mailing stuff to my own characters lol
RMT sellers have mutli accounts so they can send friend invites to each of there accounts all the time so the current restrictions on mail doesn't stop them and if players want to buy gil they just do a search on the web and work around it that way.
All SE can do is get a decent chat filter in place to stop the spamm (ask SOE if you don't know how,they got a decent one in EQ2) and that's about it...don't penalize us for a situation that can not be controlled 100%.
There are a lot of us who like alt's and for the ones who say all you need is one character yes you can but for example the Arcanist you can not have both Summoner and Scholar without gimping the other and would you really want to keep grinding fates to get 10k seals every time you want to swap ...for me no thankyou

It wouldn't be 'because they're adding themselves to friendlist' sadly, SE would see it as 'Player using an exploit to gain an unfair advantage over rule-abiding players', which is essentially what it is, sadly. (;^; )
I would love to hear a response from the reps on this, but as others have said; please, be careful if anyone is thinking of trying this. I know it's frustrating and by all means I think we should be allowed to mail things to ourselves (It sucks getting my husband to mail things to me all the time! D: ), at the moment it is not intended to be possible so be prepared for any repercussions/consequences. ; ;
Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of another, always at the same time as an end and never simply as a means
